  • wheres jennica? we want jennica! we want jennica! we want jennica!

  • Please update title with actual price needed to spend in order to receive freebie

  • Wow.

What a waste of money that mainboard is.

(completely separate from the deal, it's just an insanely rediculously overkill mainboard)

    • Yes agreed…that board would be of interest to about 0.00001% of the population…..a little too esoteric to make it a worthy listing here….IMHO.

    • And You call yourself a techie! You should be ashamed! This board is the thing of sleepless nights and sticky sheets for some! LOL!

      • As a techie I know that boards like this will almost always have ongoing stability issues.

They try and jam too much into them, and not all of it works.

        • See, this expensive board is a donation to the future of tech! People who buy them are the beta testers for the next generation when all the bugs are ironed out of this craziness. :)

    • Good point!!

  • Wow, imaging the 3dmark score you would get LOL….

  • +2

    did you sAY $702??

  • damn expensive mobo, and i thought my 58extreme was overpriced when i bought it!

4x SLI OR 4x Crossfire dont come cheap! LOL.

    sata 6 and USB 3…
    7 PCIe slots… nice.

and to finish it off water cooling option :D

Buy an PS3 or Xbox 360 its cheaper and can play all the games ;)

and all this wonderful 'latest' and 'greatest' in the techonology will be obsolete in about 3 months :)

    • not quite obsolete….but more to the point available on boards that cost 1/7th of the price.

  • People who have this much money to waste on a mainboard aren't Ozbargain people I think.
The sort of people who buy Alienware gear…

  • Sweet jesus, it wasn't a typo… I agree, spending this much on components is ridiculous when they're just going to be outdated in a few months. I can't fathom spending this on something as simple as a mobo just as much as I cannot understand >$1000 for a GPU.

    • Not 1, but 4x >$1000 GPUs!! :D

Spending any money on a computer could be categorized as fairly much wasted money, as it's guaranteed to be obsolete within a year. No matter what you purchase.

  • This is one hell of a MoBo! 24GB max RAM, 4xSLI, all those SATA3 ports. Aside from some hardcore gamer with a huge porn collection, what would one do with such a board? I'd love all those SATA connections, but I'd not use any of the PCI Express slots. I'd be curious to know the purpose for this board of anyone who ends up purchasing this deal.

    • I take it you haven't seen Evga SR-2 then?

      http://www.evga.com/articles/00537/
Now THAT is true overkill! :)

      • Wow! Ok yeah, this trumps it, except for having fewer SATA3 ports. Even so, that is a true beast. I'd never ever need to use that. However if I ever do more film editing, that would be a hell of a rendering machine. I'm impressed by "Product Warranty Limited Lifetime upon registration". However at nearly twice the size of a standard ATX board, god help anyone finding the right case without "modifications" to fir in the chassis.

such irony, a high end motherboard paired with a power saving , low RPM harddisk.

  • i'm thinking of getting it … cause it's blue … blue is pretty …

    • +1

      I hate blue.

  • +1

A $700 mobo which has only one CPU socket, and no provision for redundant power supplies.
Is this some kind of inside joke?
