    You have to unlock the lens. There is a little lock on the lens. Hold it and turn the lens

  FYI the serial number is on the camera box, 12 digit number under the top barcode - for me AA(21) was just before it.

  They don't make it clear at all what the serial number is.

      I submitted on 5/8. They sent me claim approved on 8/8, but the mail went into the junk mail. I just found it today.
