[eBay] Asus GTX 1070 ROG Strix 8GB GDDR5 $679.2 Delivered @ Futu Online eBay

610
CTEC20

Asus GTX 1070 ROG Strix 8GB GDDR5 $679.2 Delivered by using 20% off coupon (CTEC20) on Ebay.

I have been looking for GTX1060 but turned out it's really hard to get a decent one. So decided to go for the GTX1070 instead.

Usually Asus ROG Strix AIB cards are more expensive compared to other AIB cards.

Sharing this deal because I think this is a good deal considering it's a local stock. So you can get it faster than Amazon deal.

There was an excellent deal from Amazon with $633 delivered (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/254228) but it's currently on backorder and I was worrying about international warranty and slow shipping. Considering that there's only $47 difference, I think this deal is as good as the Amazon deal ($47 more expensive but you might get better warranty experience with faster shipping)

Don't forget to get 1.25% cashback from CR.

Original eBay 20% off tech deal post

  • EDIT : This is non-overclocked version, so it has lower clock speed than the Amazon deal listed above.

This is the non-overclocked version, the one you linked to at Amazon has been factory overclocked.

Futu sells the overclocked version for $711.2 after 20% off

Thanks for letting me know. Post updated.

      • No problem, it's quite likely you would be able to achieve the same clocks as the OC'd version.

        • +2

          Unless they do binning

    • +1

Ended up buying the OC version for $711….A reasonable ebay starting price (eg PCCG was ~$40 more), made all the better by the 20% discount. :). You have to jump into the market at some point, and while you can pay more for a 1080, or wait for a 1080Ti….this will do…

      • +1

That's for the armor, this is the ROG strix

        • Savings of $8 is more important in ozbargain than anything else.

          This is ozbargain not ozstrix.

@ahok: One is MSI, one is ASUS. Different cards.

Edit: Given how many graphics card posts you've made, clearly you know the difference. I wasn't trying to offend you, just stating that the cards were different. Ease up on the sarcasm.

      • MSI are "not very nice words" in terms of refunds or repairs. wont go back to them anymore =( used to love that brand

        EVGA are awesome, with refunds

Asus yet to have a issue in returns

    • What's the difference between the two. Is the extra $40 (too me, that's a LOT of money) worth the difference for an upgrade from a 670? I'm thinking the non oc will be fine?

I posted a deal on the gtx 1060 yesterday as the futu eBay description said more then 10 available. Unfortunately, they updated the listing an hour later to show only 5 in stock and they all sold out. If you want one it might be best to be quick.

  • For those that are import inclined:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H0WU884/ref=ox_sc_sfl_t…

US$429 (plus some bucks for delivery, so in line with the expired Amazon deal in the OP) for the Gigabyte G1 1070.

  • I'll be getting the MSI Gaming X myself.

    • I picked up this one for $639 delivered, it's due to arrive on the 2nd of August.

      • Msi gaming x? Damn… Oh well

  • +1

Still to expensive… Should be under $600

    • It will be cheaper, once all the high bidders have already bought.

      • They manufacture it to demand, so I don't think the price will go down as demand is met.

They'll sell appropriately cheaper cards and release more cards to meet those markets.

    • BlackFirday will be a good time to buy

  • just got mine today from Amazon
    633….including tax and delivery

Same ASUS card? Good for you. But there are also other people who rather pay more buying locally with local warranty.

      • -6

People who negged me obviously also think this Futu deal is a bad deal too…

        • not really a bad deal
the really bad deal is why Australia base price so high and AU dollar is like shiit cheap these days…?

        • @alucard147: I agree Australia prices are rip-off compared to US prices. However I am comparing this FUTU deal with your card, which I assume is this same exact Asus card if you want to compare apple to apple.

          @edfoo:
          true
and i do 100% believe that 1070 will have a price drop but very far away since there are even higher frequency GTX1070 should be announced….soon…
this 850 normal price is ridiculous….
i personally think around 600 should be ok

      • got my evga 1070 from amazon for $608 inc delivery, evga offer 3 year worldwide warranty.

        • yep same. and it is super clocked.

        • What were you refreshing the page every 5 seconds? They always sold out too fast.

        • Much better value then the GTX 1060 for $500 locally :)

        • @jiberz: that carf was available for hours. I preordered my Asus and had ages to think about which one to go with.

I chose to risk it with the Asus

        • I can't seem to find it on amazon. The one that I found doesn't shop internationally. Can you provide the link?

        • @jiberz:
just ordered them while they take order. once they got stock they will ship out…
sometimes the price is not bad…
like this Asus i ordered at US$429.99….

        • @vid_ghost:
          Local price is ridiculous

      • same
i think with invoice, and if you are purchase with amazon. you can still get the warranty.
but in Australia i think most of the shop only cover for 1 year warranty where the manufacturer sometimes cover for 2 or 3 years
that means if that card broken down after 12 months, you still need to contact manufacturer to get warranty.

i do have experience with my Madcatz TE2 Chun Li edition Fight stick. purchased at Amazon…where the joystick has problem.
i shoot a video clip to demonstrate the problem and contact Madcatz US. email invoice from amazon and the video clip to them.
they send out new parts in 3 days and take another 1 week or so to arrive to my door.

        • I read from other owners all except EVGA will not cover your warranty in Australia. Amazon may cover you in the first month if the item is defective, but after that if your card breaks down you need to send it back to its oversea manufacturer and you have to pay for the international shipping cost.

        • @edfoo:
All i can say is ……….damn terrible Australia Asus…..
wish they really look after Australia a bit more…..sign….
graphic card is different from fight stick….
i never experience graphic cards problem
          since ATI 9550 ATI 4570 ATI5770 GTX460 GTX 560TI GTX770…
tried lots of brand…graphic cards seems hard to destroy…i do like over clocking and but they never die….just won't boot up or stop working but after bios refresh they always back to work…(maybe i m lucky)

but consider if EVGA is the only manufacture that covers warranty in Australia…..and their cards are definitely top of the line…SC SSC…it would be highly recommended to stick with EVGA in Australia…internet warranty not just cost money…but also will take the "Card" away for at least 3 or 4 weeks which is nightmare………

    • overclocked version for $711.2 after 20% off

      thats 78.2 saving

      • thats around the normal price they go for at stores.. without 20% off lol.. the ebay deal is marked up BS

        • It's still cheaper here and I wouldn't trust some of the stores listed on Staticice. MSY sells the OC version for $849 which seems to be the norm at more reliable stores.

        • @nug0:
MSY and PCcasegear FUTU , they are most likely to be the famous shops in Australia…
and they should have lowest price…….just say they should have….
unless come crazy deals goes on, their price is a guild line to find out average price in Australia.

  • so normal price would be $850? hrmmm thats kinda high! i know its a new great card, but still thats too much really for the 7 model.

  • It is $850 now so price jacking is back on full steam boys and gals

    • +1

Need to apply code at checkout to get 20 percent off.

      • 100% my bad - I would have deleted the comment if I could.

Edit- Sorry i just saw the last comment now boys!
