    13ms response rate????
you call this thing a tv?????

    • +1

To be fair, that doesn't change the price being a great bragain. This response rate means that extremely high moving action will have a slight blur, but when you are paying $1675 for a 55" Full HD TV delivered to your door, that still represents a bargain.

      • He (jmg146) makes a valid point. You get what you pay for. You want a 55" 1080p LCD TV for that kind of price? Well you're not going to be getting an awesome unit.

The old saying: price, quality, size - Pick 2.

but truely, would you like to take a big size tv home and it goes blur when you watch an action movie?
it does not suit the purpose of what you want it for, no matter how cheap you won't take it.

it's like would you buy a car that has a max speed of 10km/hr for $200?

        • Well, dont be too sure about that.

My bro-in-law went to Myer at Parramatta and got a Samsung PS58C6500 for $2,200

Sure, its not a LCD but this plasma screen rocks! Its only 3.7cm thick and 58" Full HD 1080p screen

Response time is 0.001ms and power consumption on stand-by is less than 0.3W. Also 4 HDMI

          Here are the specs -

          http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/detail/productPreviewRead…

Sure its $522 more expensive than this unit, but guess what, you also claim the free Samsung bluray and home thatre system valued at $799

I bought the HTS off him for $400 so effectively he paid only $1,800

Did I mention that because he was a Myer One member, he also got a $40 gift card??

          • @seijai: But Plasmas can use up to nearly 1kw when on for that size, I noticed that samsung didnt put up the power consumption. So really the cost of buying is cheap verus the cost of running.

          • @seijai: Wow, $2200 is a good price for the Samsung PS58C6500 !
How did he get that price at Myer? Was it a price match? When did he buy it?
You did OK to score the Bluray HT for $400 too….nice work.

            • @billy_bob: Wasnt a price match. I was negotiating at Myer at Pagewood and bargained him to $2,200 but he had no stock. So I got my bro-in-law to ask at Parramatta and the salesman said he will honor that price because its still Myer.

              This was only yesterday.

ok, vivo lcd panels are just rubbish, used to work in a store and had a rep try and sell us them, set one up, bad quality…

    • I beg to differ. The full hd models are actually sensational value for money. Sure, the quality alongside a top line Samsung LED for example falls well short, but so does the price.

good product being cheap is a bargain.
cheap product being cheap is just normal

    • I have 2 vivo TV's I got from DSE (not this model). Great value for money. Picture is great. I haven't been keeping my eye on tv prices these days, but if you are on a budget and wanted a tv now, i'd be looking at this - I say, go into DSE and see if they have any setup instore.

  • i've seen the full hd vivo panels. while the rep is certainly entitled to his opinion, i would have to respectfully disagree; the motion blur on this was truly awful. I would stay well away…
