It is expected that at least 90% of correct addresses will arrive to most locations within Australia Post's estimates. Peak periods may add congestion to the postal system. See www.auspost.com.au for details. Any addresses rejected by Australia Post will incur a charge of $4.90 for redelivery, because the item will have to be received, checked, repacked then posted again. Incorrect versions

Please note: some store advertise Day One Edition, but are actually selling a different version of the game, which is not the actual Day One Edition
Ozgameshop links to the wrong game on Comparegames. It is a different game than this offer (Euro Edition, not Day One Edition)
Overseas (many not Day One Edition) average around $42 + delivery

Hi fellow OzBargainers…an exclusive just for OzBargain, at $74 off (our lowest price ever!)

    No, it's $13 off

    • -7

      $74 off normal price
Last deal was $61 off, although yes, this is exactly $13 off our last deal a day or two ago.

      • +13

        a) We've already proven you don't have a 'normal' price, this came into stock the day you put your ad up on here
        b) The last deal finished only 24hrs ago, so if you want to appear as if you're really looking after this community, you'd admit the true saving and not hide behind RRP.

Don't bullshit, just let the deal speak for itself.

i'm getting some de ja vu, you too spackbace?

          @sellingoutsoon:

Repeating comments from the previous deal, let your price do the talking, not the discount. This is massively deceiving, you have not and were not going to sell it at $99.95, the product page popped up as you prepped the discount code. This is twice in a week you have conducted yourselves in an unprofessional and illegal manner.

Rep, you have not responded to these comments from the previous deal. As I have said, I am genuinely interested as a customer but your practices are disappointing to say the least.

Why do you insist on misleading others and inflating the discount?

If no appropriate response is provided to stop with this nonsense I will simply report your business to the ACCC. Given we have discussed this on multiple occasions with you ignoring feedback about your illegal practices, I feel this is a major issue with you as a retailer.

        • -7

@IceCreamBandit: Please do report whatever you like. I know you're not into agreeing with people, or being friendly, but the fact is that EB Games shows the authentic RRP for this game, and if other legitimate dealers are not allowed to (by any authority) assuming EB Games has more market power, it could be construed as encouraging an abuse of market power. In Australia it meant to be an even playing field, that's what the ACCC is actually for. So let's hope the ACCC can help us achieve that. The recommended price is from the Konami licence holder, not EB Games, not any other retailer. Check it out if you like, but please remember:

And lighten up, please. We're trying to offer OzBargainers the lowest price in the world. Is that OK?

        • +4

          @sellingoutsoon:

The recommended price is from the Konami licence holder, not EB Games, not any other retailer.

Respond to the following from the ACCC.

Businesses are not allowed to make statements that are incorrect or likely to create a false impression.

          Misleading prices may include:

a ‘before’, ‘was’ or ‘strike through’ price that is not the price those items were sold for in a reasonable period immediately before the >sale period started
‘savings’ or ‘discount’ statements when compared to the recommended retail price (RRP), but the goods have never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.

This game, to be discontinued, cannot be advertised with the RRP as the 'previous' price as it does not reflect current market prices. Therefore, it is misleading and illegal.

Examples of false or misleading claims
Some examples of business behaviour that might be misleading are:

a jewellery store advertises that a watch 'was' $200 and is 'now' $100 when the store never sold the watch for $200

Again, you have not previously sold it at your $99.95, you cannot use that as a "was" price. That is misleading and illegal.

Stop quoting rubbish from the publisher or other retailers, and respond to what is required of retailers by law.

that's what the ACCC is actually for

Don't use the ACCC if you aren't going to abide by its standards.

And lighten up, please. We're trying to offer OzBargainers the lowest price in the world. Is that OK?

I've acknowledged you have the lowest price on a discontinued game, well done. Nothing wrong with having the price, it's the illegal practices that are a problem. We have gone over this enough times.

        • +3

          @sellingoutsoon:

the fact is that EB Games shows the authentic RRP for this game

You've missed his point, or are choosing to ignore it. EB Games has and does sell their games at the RRP the majority of the time, therefore they can list a "saving" because their normal price is the RRP.

You haven't sold the game at the RRP like EB has, therefore people aren't making a saving in relation to it. If you had sold the game at the RRP, then you could say there is that saving. As it is, they aren't saving anything over YOUR previous price.

The RRP is irrelevant in all of this, the ACCC doesn't care what the publisher says you could hypothetically sell it at, just what your stores price history actually is.

    • -2

Come on give OP a break, they are trying to fix things and it is a pretty good deal.

      • +3

Again, OP is shady as hell and loves to falsely inflate figures.

They're running a business, not trying to 'fix things'. More like they over-bought on an outdated game and now have to launch them before the new one comes out.

Don't be under any misconceptions about this company. They've attacked members previously who questioned their tactics, to the point that the Rep served a ban.

What store reps do you know of that get put in the Penalty Box?!

No, OP doesn't get a break, OP can learn how to be a proper business person.

        • -4

No. The ban was a mistake admitted to by a mod moocher who made an error, and clicked the wrong button, making it look like everything we ever said was removed. This took some time to fix, and in that time, it is plausible people got the wrong impression. But that is what it was, the wrong impression.

The most important thing is that the RRP listed is 100% legitimate and proven here, and this deal is indeed the lowest price in the world

You cannot quote the RRP. Look at this from the ACCC.

You have not sold the goods at RRP, nor does the RRP still represent a current market price, as the game is to be discontinued.

Stop quoting the RRP. It is a historical number that was used at the launch of the product.

@Spackbace: I'm guessing you might not say terrible things like that face-to-face with a girl who could kick your arse :) Either way …not a nice way to speak to a lady…but I'm guessing you're less interested in the fact that people are buying this game because:

Comparegames shows our deal here on OzBargain now is the Lowest price in the world!

        • @IceCreamBandit: The RRP is verifiable and this game that is current version (it is 2016). Are you opposing the manufacturer's right to recommend a valid RRP for Australia?

        • +3

          @sellingoutsoon:

What's your gender got to do with anything?! Moocher is also female, and I really doubt she'd like to be misquoted by someone who should know better.

But that's ok, keep revealing that true side to you that we know is there. We've seen it before in that thread.

        • @sellingoutsoon:

No one is lying about it, you just cannot use the RRP. Read the links I've used and you will understand. Simple.

Your use of the RRP is misleading and illegal. Read what I have said above.

        • +1

Did you have a good experience with us Tal_Shiar?

      • +2

Agree. It's a good deal and you would receive the product. Bought heaps from them previously without any problems.

Previous Buyer Supported: you get this lower price too!
All buyers of our last OzBargain PES deal may contact customer service within 7 business days, for a full refund of the difference between the product price of our previous $38.88 OzBargain PES deal and this amazing price. Cheers :)

It'd be nice if you actually put this in the other post, as a comment, rather than halfway down your essay.

    • +1

Yes, fantastic idea. And it's done :)

  • why will anyone try very hard to a get a "true Australian version"?

    • +1

You'd have to ask collectors, they're the ones who incessantly ask for that exact thing :) BTW — this deal is not meant to say that, it's the standard PAL Day One Edition, cheers :)

  • +2

    Great deal

  • +2

who's going to get abused this time?

    • +1

Who's not going to be gutless, that's the question :)

The main thing is it's the authentic 2016 product ( Day One Edition ) delivered free, at the lowest price in the world

      Yay!

      • -1

The main thing is it's the authentic 2016 product

Because someone is going to try and sell a counterfeit video game here…

        • Honestly, is it the lowest price for the PAL version, or not?

        • +1

          @sellingoutsoon:

Read this and you'll have your answer.

What is well established here is your complete ignorance of the law and your insistence to change the topic.

Actually read my comments and you will see this has nothing to do with Konami or EB. It is obvious if you read the ACCC information.

  • +2

    Cheap!

  • +2
  • +3

very annoying that seller always compares limited stock/limited time game price with other retailer, trying to prove they are the cheapest.
Dear seller, why dont you compare price of whatever you sell with world's retailers and do everyday cheapest price in the world with free shipping?

  • +5

Good deal, I just wish you'd sort out your posting practices. Brief and honest. No bs comparisons. I actually like your store and I'm subscribed to your deals, yet even I am at the limit as to how much longer I'm going to put up with you.

This is so EASY to fix. I can't understand why you refuse to do it.

  • -1

It is simple people if you want to buy the game buy it, if you don't well move on. I have bought from these people and my games arrived as described in full packaging and in a decent amount of time. I don't see why people are putting in so much time to be nasty. Looking at the link the game is at full rrp of $99.95 and you need to put the code in to get the discount, so you could buy it at full RRP so what are you going to complain the the ACCC about? I for one am glad that we have a bit of choice.

    • +1

…you made a similar comment in the previous deal which I responded to, but it seems you might have missed it (and the points I made regarding your comment). So here we go again, with a succinct version.

I don't see why people are putting in so much time to be nasty.

Illegal practices are not to be encouraged or condoned, do you not agree?

Looking at the link the game is at full rrp of $99.95 and you need to put the code in to get the discount, so you could buy it at full RRP so what are you going to complain the the ACCC about?

While correct in a way, it is still very deceptive as 1) They previously did not sell for the RRP (ACCC quotes they must have sold at the 'was' price for a reasonable amount of time prior to the discounted price, which did not happen here and 2) RRP is irrelevant to current market pricing (discontinued game). The discount is heavily inflated and therefore misleading, that's what I would be complaining to the ACCC about.

I for one am glad that we have a bit of choice.

Similar to your previous comment where you said it's hard for businesses etc. Yes choice and lowest prices are good, as it is what we look for on this site, but do we forgo keeping businesses in check over their pricing practices? As I said previously, it's hard for businesses to make money yes, but it's also hard to consumers to make their money so businesses should be kept honest.

I have said their prices are good for what it is, as it is the cheapest. What tarnishes the reputation of this business is their practices, where they've been banned for abusing users (terrible customer service IMO), and their pricing practices are misleading and illegal. To top it off when confronted about it in a respectful manner, they outright ignore the facts!

As stated in the FAQ for Merchants/Reps

This is a bargain site where people are looking for bargains. Unlike other sites, we let representatives post here as a privilege.

Their arguing and constant ignorance of genuine concerns of their misleading practices shows no understanding of that privilege, and it's quite unbecoming.

So before I make this comment even longer, I'll finish with this. Yes their price is good, but if their practices/customer service is demonstrably dodgy, then it's going to deter people (myself included) from wanting to deal with them.

      • It is your choice don't deal with them , simple you cannot complain the the ACCC try it .. what grounds would you have? You can buy the price at the RRP.

The Price is a good price for someone who wants to buy it is it not? if you don't want to buy it don't buy it..

        • +1

          what grounds would you have?

If you actually read the comments (mine and others), you'd see it, I'm not going to bother repeating myself.

So if you wish to continue to be deceived by misleading pricing practices and refuse to acknowledge the misleading and illegal practices used by the rep, then ignore the discussion about it and buy away. There's no point commenting and ignoring responses to what you've said.

    • +3

Your only votes on deals for the last month were for this company…

You received a pm from the rep didn't you?

  • +1

Its a good deal for a physical copy, too many people being negative these days. Seller has done good deals in the past and I've bought from them before. I even did my homework online to validate that the deal was genuine or not.

    Settle down people.

  • +1

I'm more offended that SOS think we will fall for this saving off rrp tactic than the law related side of it!

  • +3

Lol I've seen the screenshots of PM's this rep is sending to people who have upvoted past deals.
Nice to see a company practically begging for votes

Wait no not begging… 'thanks for your support' lol

    • +1

Probably worth passing those PMs onto moderators…asking for votes isn't exactly allowed within the guidelines…

      • I wouldn't say 'begging' for votes, more say asking for us to check out their latest deals. However, it is still a sign of a subtle desperation to get more people to click on the deals.

        E.g.

Hey — you won't believe this… check this insanely low price just going up ….now!

  • -1

Well looks like as a result of the sh#t show above, the OP got banned.

  • Nice deal - I like it; time to tell my soccer loving friends about it.

  • well maybe that's why they're called selling out soon (just a matter of what soon means)

  • +1

And now we see the real selling price advertised - $49.95 (before all their shitty popups offering discounts).

There's your proper price to refer a discount from, none of this RRP bullshit.
