Just back from my holiday trip in Gold Coast, this is the cheapest car rental company that I have ever found so far, compare than other car rental company.

I got Hyundai getz auto for $32/day + reduce excess insurance $9.5/day, hire 5 days, just pay 4 days car rental and paying 5 days insurance.
Free baby car seat and free gps. save me $42.50 ($3 baby car seat and $5.50 for gps/day) compare than other company. and the car that i got has 35000 km. may be around 1-2 years old car.
And they have limited 150km daily allowance. This is not unlimited kms. But for me that just travelling between the theme park, thats will do for me.

You need to pay $400 deposit, you can pay either cash or using your cc. And they will return this deposit when you return the car.

The staff is really friendly, he was waited and pick up the trolley for me. and on the return day, he called me to remind me about the return time.

I am not the reps of this company. I found their rate is cheaper than other car rental company. just want to share the bargain that i got from this company.

    nice deal .. only thing is .. 150km per day!!

    Gold Coast -> Brisbane = about 100 km .. so if you're doing that trip a couple of times you're screwed

    but for driving around the coast .. nice one :)

    When you're at the coast you gotta hire a scooter, it's heaps of fun and very dangerous if you don't know how to ride a scooter/motorbike but you can legally hire a scooter :)

    Scooters do tend to cost more than a car to hire though.

    $300 deposit
    zero liability ($110 "admin fee" still applies if you have an accident)
    300km per day limit
    I had my own GPS so I did not have to worry about it but they definitely can provide with one, not sure about how much extra it would be.
    They gave me a lower quote as I had rented a car from them before, but you may give it a try as well.

      thanks Foma2, i just checked for 5 days car hire and limited 100km / day, it cost $196.20 for 3 days auto 3 door and this not included insurance and baby car seat hire and gps hire. it seems car2go still got cheaper fare. Thats 5 days trip only cost me $175.50

      on the agreement that they gave it to me show 48 cents/ klm. this is for hyundai getz auto. not sure if other type of car got similar charges.

    make sure you check their "processing fees" for traffic fines just in case you are unlucky enough to get one.

    i got cheap car hire on the Gold Coast a couple of years back, got snapped by a speed camera at 0-15km/h over the speed limit. if the fine wasn't bad enough, the car rental company charged $115 for processing the fine. This must be a great revenue stream for them.

      still can't beat my 5 days car rental that only cost me $175.50 inclusive insurance, free gps and free baby car seat. hyundai getz auto, around 1 - 2 years old.
