These are fantastic boots and a killer price - Most sizes from 7.5 to 12.5 available.
The gaudy green colour may put some off, but at this price I don't care if they look like a mutant nuclear frog threw up on them.

The $36 hiking shoes at aldi I got on the weekend are pretty good. Gave them a bash and have to say they are on par with my keen kovens, pleasantly suprised.
Don't know about the Aldi shoe but from past experience Merrell shoes are pretty good. Comfortable and durable too.
I guess only time will tell how the aldi shoes will hold up with my haha
Are the Aldi ones waterproof/resistant?
@nafe: according to the box, yes.
Cheers! I'll try and check them out
The cheap Aldi shoes will probably fall apart while you're hiking up a mountain causing you to fall and hurt yourself and then you'll wish you went with the Merrell instead!.
I'm right though, got a pair of Kathmandu hiking boots and a Teva hiking boots as well. I don't buy really cheap crap. But the sad thing is all i use them for is walking around suburban streets so they hadn't had too much of a flogging!.
@hollykryten: I always carry spare boots anyway on longer hikes, so my keen kovens will be coming along as usual too, so don't you worry :) just curious to see how far I can take these aldi ones, but after one bashing, it's so far so good. Will keep u posted though haha
@hollykryten: Kathmandu are cheap crap, but without the cheap.
The $15 off first time customer only applicable if the order > $150.
Any one here experienced returns due to incorrect size? Any problem? Still have to pay $15 fee even just to change the size.
Ah, I didn't see the $150 proviso.
I usually try on in a bricks n mortar store before ordering any shoe online as they can vary.
GTX = Goretex waterproofing = awesome bargain.
I picked up some for under $100 when Columbia's stores closed down a couple of years ago, wish I had bought more now lol.
Yeah I have some Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX and they are excellent. Problem is they seem so well built that I can't see myself needing anything else for many years to come lol.
Ordered one. I checked at Merell store first and occured I'm UK10 at Merell while usually UK9.
I was told yesterday to 'Go take a Hike'
Can anyone here recommend these shoes for that ???
