Only 1300mAh capacity? That's terrible Muriel :(
Wow a battery deal that isn't eneloop. It isn't bad though, thanks OP
Not bad for 2003
I was trying to be nice to OP, thanks a lot
I think honesty is appreciated by all, great that the OP is making an effort, but is it worth a potential couple of dozen people jumping on this crappy deal and living with the poor performance, possibly having to by us something else in the end anyway?
You can get 4x eneloop ( made in Japan ) with an advanced individual cell charger - both from Panasonic - delivered from Amazon for just a few bucks more than this.
It can run on world voltages so it just needs a $1 3pin* unapproved au-to-usa travel adapter to run here, found on ebay. Infinitely better batteries and charger.
- 3pin only for better stability than the 2-pin adapters that can fall out sometimes
Hi guys
This would be a deal for 10 bucks, maybe 15.
Is the charger compatible with eneloop batteries?
Sort of. It puts out the right current for 1300mAh batteries to fully charge in 10 hours, so (a) it won't fully charge your eneloops if they are flat, and (b) if they aren't flat when you put them in the charger, it will overcharge them because it's a timer-based (i.e. "dumb") charger.
Recommend you buy the Ikea LADDA smart charger for $15 instead, and get your batteries separately.
These batteries lose their change in days, not weeks.
I tried Energizer 2500mAh batteries many years ago. Not worth the money - they don't hold the charge and I'm doubtful it was ever 2500mAh other than the sticker claiming it.
Even the Powetech rechargeable from Jaycar are heaps better.
Don't waste your time and money on Energizer rechargeables.
YMMV
