    But Flow Rate: 6 litres per minute??

  • Thanks for the post OP. My hot water pipe just burst the other day so it's a good time to replace the whole thing.
    Do they make good taps?

    • Reviews seem to be good.

    Thanks OP, missed out on the Aldi mixer a few weeks back. These look great for the Kitchen reno.

    Any reason why this "must be installed by licenced plumber" or are they just covering their bums? Good find, OP.

    • Most likely

    • In Australia, all plumbing work must be done by licensed plumbers.

      The law is black and white when it comes to working on the electrical and plumbing systems in your home.

      If it’s much beyond changing a light bulb or a tap washer, you will probably need to get the relevant licensed tradesperson onto it

      Replacing a tap definitely needs to be done by a licensed plumber (if it is to be done legally).

        Wrong. In the case of SA:

        The following work is exempt from the application of the Act:
        (a) plumbing—
        (i) consisting of the installation, alteration, repair, maintenance or disconnection of a cold water pipe not exceeding 25 mm in diameter except where the pipe is in or on a building;
        (ii) consisting of the installation, alteration, repair, maintenance or disconnection of a non-testable backflow prevention device;
        (iii) consisting of the replacement, alteration, repair, maintenance or disconnection of domestic tapware;
        (iv) consisting of the clearing of blockages in pipes not exceeding 50 mm in diameter (or associated traps) installed to convey wastewater to sanitary drains;
        (v) relating to stormwater drainage pipes—
        (A) consisting of work on pipes not exceeding 90 mm in diameter; or
        (B) consisting of work carried out under the supervision of a professional civil engineer;

        • Good point, since this is domestic tapware, if it's SA then it seems to be fair game. Any info on other states?

        • @twocsies:

          I assume it would be similar across most states. Where are you?

        • @twocsies: In WA, the Department of Commerce states a licensed plumber is required to legally carry out water supply, sanitary and drainage plumbing.

          For a tap, I would argue that if you already have isolation valves at the wall (I made a point of having these installed for every tap in my home) then you are just unscrewing and screwing on a fitting much as changing a tap washer, shower head or faucet.

    All this range us half price

  • how is the quality on these??

  • I have this one. Really quite good quality. Spent more on one from eBay first and it was terrible. https://www.masters.com.au/product/100636971/finlay-smith-co…

  • So can someone tell me is their a button on the tap head for water to come out? My son can't reach our tap at the moment because he can't reach the handle to turn it on but I'm just thinking with this if their is a button the the tap head he could reach it

    • Nah, I was hoping the same. It'd be easier to trigger it while holding it. But no. The button on it just switches the type of spray you get.
