    no NFC is a shame, with the push for tap and go purchasing and a few other NFC things coming soon it'll be a pain to be the odd one out.

        Not sure if you're serious or not?

        • +3

          If you need to ask…but from looking at the neg's, not everyone got it.

        • +3

          I would suspect not.

          @Tiggrrrrr: Hit a nerve apparently…

          @dreamscene: In other news, I got a kilo of apples today for $3. But they weren't compatible with my shortcrust pastry…

          @dreamscene: Actually down voted first then realized you were being sarcastic

        • +2

          @dreamscene: You'd get negged either way…sarcasm will earn you the apple fan wrath, not sarcasm would earn you the droid fans …. Loll lose lose situation

          @dreamscene: Poe's law in action.

    • +1

      Actually it should have NFC since its the single sim version (L09), at least according to the Huawei website: http://m.huawei.com/enmobile/consumer/mobile-phones/detail/p…

      • I think you are right.

        some sites say no, some say yes.

    • +3

      And what about the fake Leica and the fake picture on Huawei blog taken by Canon IOS MK III?Clowns!

    • -1

      This is the Chinese version of the P9 without NFC (easy to differentiate - it has 3gb of ram instead of 4).The warranty is therefore with the reseller, not bound by Huawei's T&Cs therefore not a manufacturer's warranty. I got impatient and just opted for this model (EVA DL-00), but check the model numbers. It's sort of annoying, the P9 plus and some P9 models have some features, lack others… Don't think they could cram any more inside.

      It's an epic phone! Best features are fingerprint scanner (fastest on the market) and battery. I get 3-4 days of heavy use with the battery, averaged over last month. Not one misfire, glitch or app crash. Even with the 3gb ram, it's great. Camera surpassed expectations. Highly recommend!

      • But rep said it has local warranty.

        • They released in Australia last week, Rep - what is the specific variant?

    • +1

      Was about to post the same thing.

    • Lol oh wow

    • You wonder how long it would take them to learn and not pulling stupid shit like this. Even if they don't get caught in social media they will get busted by reviewers anyway

      • and people who are looking at review may actually only few

        • +1

          Seriously, if someone buys a $700 phone without any research then it's on them.

    • +5

      Hooley dooley. This phone takes $4500 photos!

      • They want you to believe that.

        So its lie. haha. Can't even remove the EXIF evidence come on! they can do better

        • After the backlash they claimed that the photo was of an ad involving the phone and they sorry people might have thought the actual photo was taken with the phone…. Way to backtrack.

      • +20

        Would you share the light on how many things you own are NOT from China? and/or Asia?
        You must voted One Nation by the sound? or not?

        • Yeah, PLEASE EXPLAIN!?!?

      • +2

        What a bloody idiot.

      • +1

        Can't believe people are dumb enough to make comments like this.

      • clothes u wearing now are made in china, then we can see ur bum cos u said they were fake.

      • +1

        I guess eisniwre also made in China.

      • -4

        Chinese don't understand fake or intellectual property or patents or customer loyalty - there's only a single measure of success and that's monetary. Mao and communist party were supposed to beat that trait out of the Chinese, but in the end abused it even further.
        (Faux) outrage is only expressed by those who don't understand this or hope others don't - practical Chinese aren't adherents of political correctness, only opportunism. No country has borrowed from its future to pay for present as China.
        Fake Mall.

        • +3

          You know why Chinese don't have real stuff? That is because all the real things are in British Museum. talking about intellectual property… you are a very funny man. hahaha

      • +3

        This website is not a shelter for OZracist. Shame on you.

        • -1

          Spare the faux outrage… You've got to know what racism is before labelling - there's no hatred or intolerance of anyone in anything I wrote.

        • +4

          @AlexF:

          "Chinese don't understand…blah blah blah", that's a blunt, sweeping statement made against one fifth of the world population here. Racist or not, you have made an incorrect and ignorant statement, and there are people feeling uncomfortable about it.

          Btw this is a damn phone we are talking here, don't relate this to an entire race/country. And in case you don't know, Huawei phones (not ads) are not fake and its build quality rival any other Android manufacturers. Have a look at Nexus 6P and its reviews before having another go.

        • -5

          @SilverRanger:

          .. sweeping statement made against one fifth of the world population

          what's population size do with with anything?

          .. there are people feeling uncomfortable about it.

          and that should change my observations (based on living and working in China)?

          .. you have made an incorrect and ignorant statement

          and yours isn't based on obtuseness?

          Obviously, you've swallowed too much to think coherently yet it helps to think before wielding the PC sword.

        • @SilverRanger: hear hear sir! Well worded, it's a wonderful phone. Hate the biased, unfounded, preconceived comments on here.

      Like when Nokia shared a video of their Lumia's OIS in video. It was a Canon in a van with a stabilizer.

    This should be the p9 plus price. I rather get the zenfone 3 deluxe when it is released next week. And it will be definitely cheaper. That's my 2 cents anyway.

    • Will not be cheaper. The zenfone3d will be u$499. But the spec seems to be better.

      • Isn't USD$499 (AUD$670) cheaper than AUD$699?

        • +1

          I am afraid it is not calculated this simple way. Take a look at how much is a u$649 iPhone 6s 16g selling in Australia. Not to mention the Huawei P9 is selling less than the u$499 in China too.

        • -2

          @claud0902: Just to play devil's advocate…

          An iPhone 6s 16g is selling for $893 (US$665) vs US$649 ($872).

          So a 2.5% premium (16/649)?

          So even if you take the AU$670 below and add 3% it is $687. Isn't that still less than $699?

        • @Tiggrrrrr: the rrp of aus stock iPhone 6s 16g is $1079. Do not fool yourself as you know what the topic is here.

    • +1

      The front panel of the Z3D is so ugly with the spun metal pattern and thick inner black bezel. Such a shame, the back is gorgeous with the lack of antenna gaps, and the specs are absolutely amazing.

      • +1

        I too hate the inner black bezel, but my problem is the bottom black bezel is noticeable wider than the other sides. How could they make this kind of design decision?

        But the Z3D has everything I need, especially the 4G/3G dual standby feature plus the support of B28 lte.

    • +5

      Hi marchi

      Our price $10 cheaper, and Au stock, GST Inv, Local Huawei Warranty.

      • Good price! Not sure I would go with this phone for this price though

        • +5

          Yeah I don't see the appeal of this phone. Why wouldn't you just buy a 6P?

        • +1

          @Jamiea: Because they're completely different phones..?

      • How is it local Huawei warranty if it's the Chinese model?

        • Hi aryan12

          Chinese model will not cover by Au local manufacturer Warranty, you have to send back to oversea or deal with private repair locally.

          Au model warranty cover by Huawei Experiance Service, inc 3 months screen damage repair

    'Leica camera'… Lol

  • +5

    Supposed to be one of the best cameras on a phone. So if taking photos is important this is a great phone.

    • +1

      Just supposed..it is definitely not and not even in the chart..

      • Which phone has the best camera if it's not P9 (Leica camera) at the moment?

        • +5

          Are you serious?Anyone knows..is the Samsung s7
          P9 it is not Leica it is made by Sunny Optical.

          I was going to…

        • @watwatwat:

          Can't find Chinese phones on the website. (eg Huawei, Oppo, XiaoMi etc).

        • -1

          The one that is made in Australia.

          @arctan:

          Because Chinese phone cameras are shit.

        • @watwatwat:
          I was thinking the same but let someone else would do it for me…so thanks

        • @Ciccillo:
          Read the reviews.
          Apple apparently are going to include the dual lens on their next iPhone.

        • -1

          @watwatwat: hate to break it to ya, iPhones & Galaxy Sx are made in China.

        • @aryan12: but not by a Chinese brand, I think that was the point made by watwatwat.

        • @clse945111: perhaps, it's Huawei but rebranded. They are literally the biggest phone manufacturer in the world. Actually make half your iPhone lol

        • -1

          @aryan12:

          So what? Not a Chinese company. Go checkout the shit Xiaomi is releasing.

        • @watwatwat: so because the company originated in America, they're American? Even though 100% of products are manufactured in China/Taiwan and taxes routed via Ireland and Singapore? Sounds legit to me

        • @watwatwat: the main point- it's possible that Huawei had something to do with reputable phone camera sensors, even though their main speciality is networking… So your point is totally invalid.

        • @aryan12:

          It's not a Chinese company if the company just manufactures there and their R&D resides out of China.

        • @watwatwat: bigotry never gets old

          Neither does conceit.

  • If ever Henri cartier-bresson is still alive to see this, I wonder what his reaction might be.

    • He'd be taking the most epic of selfies with it!

    • +1

      Similar was said about Toyota when they introduced Lexus. It's not the brand or origin but features and quality that determines product worth. Any company can make both - lemons and diamonds, so, it pays to keep an open mind.
