Been lurking for ages but I think I have found a good deal here! The device has been marketed as a really nice device for anybody doing blogging videos with their iPhone helping you capture a better audio signal via the stereo microphones and a guitar input. It's certainly going to be able to do that well, but you could just as well use this as a input device into Garageband or any other music recording type app. IThink of it as an iRig HD with a stereo mic added, those go for around $130-$149, and this is a Focusrite! It's available via Soundcorp's eBay store or from their website. The cheapest I've seen previusly is $55, Amazon has them for $69.99USD not including shipping and are still up in places for $149AUD

well it's using the lightning port with a samplig rate of 44.1 KHz, 48 KHz 16bit…Focusrite are highly regarded for their audio interfaces. I haven't used one but i would imagine the audio is going to be much nicer through these mics rather than your iPhone inbuilt and with the guitar input, people pay over $100 all the time to have this option
Pretty sure my belkin was supposed to be 44khz 16bit but sounded bad anyway, it also was rrp 149 but I got it late from COTD for 35 bucks or so. It would be great to be able to do this though, however I am told there are excellent Zoom portable recorders for about 150-200, granted it's a lot more than this is now but when compared to the rrp it's in the same ball park.
Focusrite traditionally make some good gear, haven't used this device, but their AD/DA chips are definitely hi fi, even if not the best ever.
I wondered about MFI and read the eBay description. At the end I found it has the longest lightning cable ever made:
Includes:
1 x Focusrite iTrack Pocket Microphone and Guitar Interface
1 x 30m micro USB to Lightning cableyeah i reckon its probably 30cm lol, but that would mean it will reach an iPad lightning port as well!
Maybe they missed an m and its only 30mm
nah i watched a vid on youtube..looked like 30cm
Thank you OP
This is a solid bargain, focusrite is excellent
No mic input? :( I'll continue to use my iRig Pro. Great bargain though!
Showing $89 for me. $55 is the next cheapest on eBay.
NO!!! I had it in my cart and I was going to buy it in the morning!!!
My music career is over before it began. I'll never get to jam with Taylor.Managed to get one this morning for $39. Just got shipping notification.
How is this thing? Any reviews? Some years ago I bought a belkin device that plugs an ipod in and has a bunch of inputs, stereo directional mics and records wav files on the ipod, I could see uses for it but it was certainly not hi fidelity. Is this much better?
