Honestly i use kmart thongs at $3-$6 each and they've outlasted and Havianas i've owned..
But no two thongs are created equal.

For reference, when buying a cheap ass thong, make sure the rubber is multi layered and hard (like Havianas hardness)
The woolworths style $1 foam style crap thongs that blowout in a day are super light, soft rubber, and so are some kmart thongs, but i'm not suggesting them.@Spackbace: I do like Havianas, just found an alternative that lasts longer and without the price tag.
My wife however only wears Havianas because of the colours and branding.

I said 3 pairs last more than 2 years. So 8 months on each pair so far still in excellent conditions.

Got mine yesterday. They are different sizes to my other pair and the sizing stamped on the thong is inconsistent between the two pairs
