I don't know about you guys, my roof gutters are now clogged with debris every 2-3 months.
The crap bunnings sells, plastic gutter guard didn't help, the bristle guards are crap, nothing is full proof but aluminium gutter guard is the best guard product out there. In Brisbane, Gutter Guardian are helpful and sell a great budget product.

Order through ebay to get cashrewards. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360806163775

Nitrile gloves $2.95 each , SCA is easily $8 for these, let alone the hardware mobs.

  • Definitely a very good price for what you're getting

I just bought from Stratco (http://www.stratco.com.au/products/hardware/gutter-guard-alu…) and while it is a lot more expensive ($7/m), the mesh is much finer - maybe only 2-3mm. The equivalent from Bunnings is closer to $15/m

Anecdotally, i am told that the larger aperture guard like this one risks letting twigs, leaves, and general grit into the gutter

  • pretty good price thanks
Fielders is about the same price but the profile doesn't fit all gutter types unfortunately

    • Thanks for chiming in on the spelling mistake, I knew, yet waited.

      • I saw it more as another variation rather than a mistake.

  • I bought galvanised steel wire from Bunnings, I think 40m for $80. Look harder..

  • Having bought it, how does it get installed?

  • would be a DIY job for single story house. But i have double story….I dont think I am up for the DIY up on the upper roof. probably piss my pant half way up

  • I installed a few metres on my corrugated metal roof (19 metres) before the rain.
Gloves, roof and gutter silicone, tin snips, screws (if you need them)
Start in the corner, work outwards from the corner, cut a line (5-10mm) for the corrugated peak so it's easy to bend in the the dip.
Roof valley is easy, measure the width and cut to suit, wrap around your caulking gun to provide a rounded peak, push into the valley.

Watch the video on their website, it's easy.

    • A update, Brisbane's weather has been rainy, windy. Green blue cooch grass, wtf.
Mosquito's, flies, Tomato's growing, short and shirt weather. Who said global warming isn't real?

Before I installed the gutter guard I cleaned the gutters, used the air blower to clean the entire roof surface and under the solar panels.

The gutter guard has helped a great deal to reduce the debris, within 1-2 weeks I got up on the roof (2 story) and noticed a lot of debris on the roof again.

Thankfully not in the gutters. I was sick of overflowing gutters in two bad spots.
