  • Can I use these cards to pay for my ps plus membership?

    • Yes

      • Too easy. Looks like I'm going to coles tonight

would these work on a US PSN account?

    • +1

      historically 'no'

I miss the 20% off or the $24 for $30 promos. Still a deal if you can't wait for them to roll around.

    • I've been waiting for so long! Need this to come around faster ahaha or the 7-11 one to pop up again

  • +1

its been so long since the 20% off ones, i'd buy 200 worth if they bring that deal back haha

    • +4

I think I bought 5 $30 cards when they last had 20% off. Used it to re-up my PS+ subscription and gradually spent the rest on games/DLC. Good times.

      • +1

yeah i did the same last time, psn for 1 year and the rest was on dlc for destiny and the witcher 3

There was a $150 top up thing in March so maybe don't redeem the cards immediately.

  • Any way to get discounted Coles gift cards?

    • no

    • +1

If you are with Lumo with their Ameego you can get 4% off coles egift cards plus a payment surcharge (so about 4% off). They are instore only for Coles Supermarkets.

They say though "Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards" at http://www.giftcards.com.au/Gift-Card-Terms-of-Use.aspx, so I'm not wure if that means you can't buy Sony GCs or just other coles GCs

The whole coles myer cards are honestly a bit of a mess with where you can use what, unlike Woolworths.

Not the best? what has been some better deals on the PSN cards? also do they expire?

    • +9

Oh Suzy, long time no see. Glad to see you bothered to read some of the other comments that answered this already.

      • Hi Snooky, nah i didnt read anything. But now i have so ok there were better deals before…. anyways do they expire? I dont know cos i never had to buy games or psn cards with money till recently when i used the last of my thousands of EB store credit that I farmed in the ecogamer trade bait days

        • The card/codes expire in 12 months from date of purchase, but once you put the code into your account, and fund your PSN wallet, it will stay there forever until spent.

No more Ecogamer, he shut the website a while ago. It had become a horrible ghost town full of spam. Good old days.

        • @snuke:

The site was carried by my thread. Once I left the site died.

Thanks for the info. I'll buy some PSN cards.

        • @suicine94: Ha ha, your thread was comical - I'll give you that.

Ozbargain and Facebook killed Ecogamer. It's happened to a lot of smaller forums/sites over the last couple of years. Even Whirlpool's bargain thread is a ghost town.

        • @ChiefAJ:

That and the trade deals ended. It was crazy that you could buy a game at JB, walk 10M and trade it in for far more value at EB or Game or vice versa. The end of Game dropped off the competitiveness from them, and they wised up to how much stock they were effectively buying due to trades.
I can’t remember the game, but pretty sure I did more than 3 copies, and when I went to JB, they had a stack of insane heights due to how many people were doing it. It was one of the last as it was just insane the difference in purchase and trade value.

        • @snuke: True, I had forgotten about the trade deals. They were unbelievable.

Haven't finished the 20% off Coles PSN cards last time. So I will skip this one.IMO 10% is not great its like you aren't paying GST

  • +2

10% is still 10%, Just use a little more restraint than the 20% deals.
EOFY is almost here, so here's hoping.
