  • Is this a smartwatch or just a plain wristwatch?

    • Smart watch but no ambient sensor

    • Similar to the Moto 360 - except it has no flat tyre (which really isnt an issue, ask any Moto360 user) but also lacks the ambient light sensor so the watch may blind you when it comes on at daylight-brightness while driving in the dark.
I speak from experience when I had my Moto360 on manual brightness instead of auto.

      • I wish I could be ok with the flat tyre, but I'm definitely not. Shame because it's a great piece of tech.

I wish I could be ok with the flat tyre, but I'm definitely not.

me too. i can't get passed it!

          ask any Moto360 user

yeah cos they have no choice lol

        • +1

@CVonC: Of course they have a choice - if it bothered me in the slightest I would buy a different smartwatch.
But I cant even see the flat tyre - unless I am specifically looking for it - you just dont notice it.

        • +1

          @systmworks:

Did you buy it knowing about the flat tyre?

There's a fine line between not being bothered and just putting up with it.

It was designed as a circular watch. I suppose if you use a particular custom face that kinda hides the flat tyre then it won't be as noticeable. But if you're using a circular face, those missing minutes from 25-35 will certainly be. Whether or not you're just putting up with it is another question.

        • +1

@CVonC: Oh yes I knew months before I bought it. Of course if you look for it, you will see it, but in day to day use I cannot remember the last time I "noticed" it.

I do tend to run custom watchfaces with written info or graphics at the bottom, like Windows or the popular PipBoy face Im using now.

          https://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/windows-8-2-0-14b0f24…

For those people trying to make their Moto360 look like a Rolex analog watch (wanky) with white background, yeah the sensor part would be more noticeable.

      • Yeah, I'm loving my Moto 360, people had me worried about the "flat tire", I have never been bothered by it.

    • LG.

I grabbed one of these the last time Telstra had them on sale. Fantastic watch, especially when paired with a nice watchface app. If anyone has any questions, happy to answer.

    • how long is the battery life?

      • Really does depend on usage. If I have the screen set to always on, mid brightness, BT and WiFi always on, I can get a couple of days out of it with moderate usage. If I set the screen to auto off (turns on when you lift your wrist), leave BT/WIFI on, and minimal usage I can squeeze 4 days out of it.

That said, I usually just put it on the charging cradle each night when I plug my phone in.

    • +1

How much did you get them for last time ?

      • +5

        Haha, sale price of $290 - $240 welcome credit = $50 :D

        • how?

        • +4

Now you make me feel like $225 is not a bargain anymore :(

        • @easternculture: Managed to combine the $40 BYO 7GB deal with $240 welcome credit. Was able to get the credit redeemed for the watch and just have the remainder charged to my account.

  • I guess they are making space for the new model

  • All gone

  • The last one 'SOLD AS A SPECIAL OFFER'

    What's that ?

    • +1

This guy i know at uni uses his smart watch to cheat in tests

      • -1

For real? It'd be impossible to cheat with my smartwatch in my exams. You can't take watches in.

    • +1

I think that says more about the intelligence of the average Yank…

      • didn't really have to make a mockery about my comment but yeah love the impulse negative voting from everyone lol

  • 8 sold ….

  • I thought there's a minimum quantity of 10 required before an ebay listing can be linked on ozbargain???

  • +1

    more stock!!

    • Still cannot convince myself why I need it :p

      • i got the samsung gear s2. good but not fantastic

  • I've been a fan of the Apple Watch before, but this looks gorgeous!

Does it play well with an iPhone?

    • +1

I've heard that Android Wear watches are quite limited with iOS devices.

  • Seem they have a lot of stock this time.

Several hundred viewed and 13 bought in one hour.

    • Although 10 out of the 13 was bought by one person

  • Thanks OP.. Hopefully this is an improvement over the 1st gen Moto 360

    • What improvement you may expected?

  • I've had this watch before and it died within one month, returned and replaced with a new one, died again. I don't trust LG…

    • :S That's not good..

      • +1

I ended up cancelling my order..

        • +1

Good move. You're not missing out anything mate.

    • Wondering what you did to it to make it died so soon like that? Are you an angry type of person. Who beats up his equipments when it's not functioning the way you wanted? ;😉

      • Nope, no violence to it what so ever. I wore it as usual.

  • Oh wow, what a dilemma… I want one, but I don't need one, plus this is a bargain.
Already got fitbit charge hr that fits my purpose well…

Plus this version is likely to be replaced in just a few months.

And I have overspent my budget for click20….

    • Isn't it already replaced with the 2nd edition?

      • Is it??

        • -1

LG W200: LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition has come out since April 2016 on USA, HK & Korean. It only add NFC, LTE, better resolution screen, bigger size, more heavey, still no speaker, but it double or even triple the price.

NFC or Google pay in Australia? No.

Lte? No, we donot want the watch replace/leave our phone and add mothly fee to get another sim card.

better resolution screen? Means more power needs. Current screen resolution is enough for small watch.

        • @zhaoweizhi: oh I thought that's just the lte version, yeah no, it's worse….

        • @zhaoweizhi: yes it has a speaker

  • Ouch, just after I clicked and bought I found out my wife already bought me the Huawei W1 from the other deal to surprise me. But surprise unfolded when she saw my paypal receipt.

    • Surprise her with the LG …

      • -1

She admitted she wanted to surprise me after she saw the proof of LG purchase. Now I need to cancel this order if I could.

        • Or return it after you received it with the eBay free return.

        • @superforever: Free return no for change of mind. Mentioned in the Telstra ebay store terms & conditions. You need to get an approved by Telstra. But it is not yet shipped, it should be fine to cancel it.

        • @zhaoweizhi:

I put in a request to cancel it. We'll see, otherwise I will put it up for anyone in Sydney CBD to pick up in person for same price.

    • Change the address and have it send to me and I'll PayPal you the same amount back. 😉

  • Argh. Was regretting missing the other deal now so tempted. Moto360 sitting on it's charger, haven't worn ot for 2 months. Should not, will not!

    • So you go back to the traditional watch?

What is the main reason you didn't wear it?

      • In my old store the watch would work around my whole store, leaving my phone in the office. New store, I can't leave the office without it disconnecting. I got it on a good deal though. It makes a nice clock docked in the cradle!

  • Out of stock… again. Missed by minutes.

  • +1

Looked at this , Moto 360 V2 and Huawei M1.
Got the Huawei. Like it more everday.
Battery is decent 2-3 days with perm on during day and BT. Wifi off.
Great colours and looks, people actually commented very positively.

    • Yeah I agree. But for this price I think this is a steal

  • Showing as out of stock.

  • +3

I just bought one, showing in stock again

    • Ditto - just got one as well

    • bought one too

      • Couldn't resist bought one on Tuesday and received today.

A little bit bigger than I thought.

  • Ordered too earlier should have $25 off.

    • If you're lucky enough to be targeted mate

      • Yeah I have it and I think a lot of people received it.

  • How is everyone's watches going?

    • +1

Mine is good, no problem so far and OTA update to 6.0.1

      • Does it have speaker phone for calls ??

        • No, not many models have speaker yet.
