When's the starting and ending date to be a bit more specific?

It's mentioned in the post: 29 Jun–19 Jul

          @PleasureMe:

LOL I couldn't resist. (I knew the negs would flow freely)

      • +1

Haven't you heard? Clicking is for plebs!

      • +2

        I didn't know that. now sad :(

      • -2

Everything is made in china. What is your point?

        • +8

We shouldn't have to resort to eating foodstuffs and condiments from another country, even if it's fast food. The quality gets cheaper but the prices sure don't.

      • +6

Why would you down vote the deal. It's like if I see a deal for a $100 iPhone 6s I wouldn't down vote it just because I'm an android user?

It's about the deal not your opinion of the brand.

        • What seems like an awful deal to you, ot might be helpful for others

        • @Bearosaurus: Good stuff Bear ;)

      • I still like them.

      • More for me then.

  • +34

    My body is ready

    • +11

I hope your toilet is also ready.

      • +2

        ….someone doesnt like china?

        • -2

The new taste of the dipping sauces are awlful!!!
Luckily Franco Cozzo; you've always kept to your word of fine 1960's Italian quality furniture.

        • @msjb: Unlike Nick Scali which is mostly all low quality chinese imports too

        • +1

          @msjb:

Franco Cozzo has to keep the good stuff coming in… sniff sniff

        • +1

@gccmelb: that's a why he is still in Bruns a wick n foot a scray my friend, grande sale, grande sale!

      • +1

Is this true? I also am very careful to avoid anything China and Food related. Do you have a sauce of this information? (no idea why the neg's, this is useful info).

        • +2

Yup it says it on all of the sauce packaging. They phased out local production a while ago now. I think you can get aioli with the nuggets in place of the regular packaged sauces (think being the operative word). Other sauces like Mac sauce you get flogged 50c for

        • +1

          @Carnal: Bleh, yuk!

No more Macca's for me now, added to Boycott list. Cutting costs is one thing, taking jobs away from perfectly capable Australian workers to now manufacture simple things like sauces in China to save a few $$$ (on the billions they already make) is just plain unethical.

        • @faceman54: uh fairly sure the sauce was never an Australian product.

        • -1

@RI4V4N: Do you want to back that up with some tangible proof???

        • @faceman54: you can prove ur facts first, since ykno, you were first. Then I will if I'm wrong.

        • -1

@RI4V4N: please oh benevolent one, don't hold so dear to your heart the truth about where the sauce was made.

Seriously, pleeeeeease enlighten me with where it was made if I'm so wrong with my statement.

        • @faceman54: fairly sure it was made by Heinz and was a product of America. Burger King bought Heinz and they were forced to change. Got salt there guy?

        • -1

          @RI4V4N:
Much rather American sauce than Chinese stuff any-day - much rather the jobs to be there too!

      • +1

        More sauce for me then.

  • +2

Which part of the chicken is the nugget? Or are we better off not knowing?

    • The double D's

    • +1

      dude it's 24 for $9.95 man

    • +6

Let Jamie Oliver explain that for you:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKwL5G5HbGA

      • To be fair, Jamie is talking about the frozen nuggets in supermarkets.
You can tell from the texture that McDonalds ones are not pink slime.
Not that unhealthy if you ate them with bread, salad / veg, instead of fries & coke.

BTW, the 24 box is 400g, and over a thousand calories.

        • Yep. The McDonald ones are not pink slime, clearly chicken breast.

The 3 dollar home brand super market ones are another story.

        • Woah 1113.6 Calories.

          But 63.36g of protein!

Still…don't go eating nuggets for gainz haha.

    • Wait, they aren't gold nuggets? Removing my + vote!!
But seriously, mechanically reclaimed meat products are so tasty, until you think about the source..

      • +15

Yeah people have complained about the party foods for as long as i know: hot dogs, party pies, nuggets. I don't care less. It tastes good, its cheap and most importantly its reducing waste - which is so important because it means less animals need to be killed. Its like all those girls who use a can of hair spray a day until they found out that they are made out of prawn shells then they carry on like little fools. Do you really think eating the muscle of an animal is somehow more civilized than eating its eyes, tongue, kidney or bum? It makes no difference, you're munging into a corpse - don't pretend like you are somehow civilized now. i feel like a pie right now.

      • +22

Jesus christ we get it, you don't like the new sauces. Stop spamming it up and down the thread.

      • I suggest you take a trip to China.

  • Does this mean the $3 Cheeseburger meal deal will have to go to make way for this ?

    • have both.. for variety

      • +3

I prefer to call it the $13 chicken n cheese towerburger meal.

        • ^ this. 100% this.

  • Is there any gold nugget?

    • +3

Eating them will help you make a few brown nuggets if it's any consolation.

  • +8

I miss the double beef and bacons for $3

    • Hell yeah. I used to get two with an extra patty and cheese and it was all I needed for the day for about $8 or $9.

      • +9

        about $8 or $9

Yep, about the same price as a month's supply of Metformin and Atorvastatin.

        • What are you going on about?

        • +1

@COR80: Heart and blood pressure meds haha

        • +10

@diondai1: Is that all. Well, what's a McDonald's thread without someone from the sanctimony brigade turning up.

    • We still have them for $3 at our store :) -Fairy Meadow, NSW

  • It's been like that around here for a few weeks already

  • McDonald nuggets are the best, then KFC

    • Then Hungry Jack's.

      • +2

          AN NO AN DEN!

        • Your mum

  • +2

OP, how many nuggets do you keep warm at a time these days?
Back when I was working the fryers, we only kept 30 or so in the warmers at a time. But with deals like this, they won't last 2 orders!

    • +2

Right now we got 3 trays with 24 nuggets in each one. But when the promotion starts Maccas is asking to hold 8 trays but i reckon this is only needed in busy stores.

      • +6

Can one ask for freshly cooked nuggets?

        • +2

          Of course the can.

  • I'm gonna go nuclear on this lol…. So bad for my health

    • Do a workout after, the chicken isn't the worst protein.

      • +9

        The batter is.

        • Fair point

      • There's chicken in the nuggets?

  • Count down is on!

    • It's on like Donkey Kong.

  • Another 3 weeks? Crikey!!

  • does anyone know the normal price for this?

    • 20 is like $13.95 from memory, so almost $17.

    • Here in Melbourne, it's $12.50 for 20. 6 is like $5ish.

  • Meanwhile, any current (fast) food dealm??

  • I want to negg this due to my waistline in advance

    • +5

You can always Nugg the deal
