  • Is it a generator thingy? Please - why do I need one?

        Excellent advice. Sold.

      • Will this have enough power to start the compressor of a fridge?

  • Apparently a dodgy brand from some reviews…

        Buy a Honda for $2K

        Great advice…. truly great advice!

Someone who is willing to drop $200 on a generator is of course willing to instead drop $2000 on another. Surely better off to buy three of these and have two spares and have $1400 left over.

          @Cheap Charlie:

Well, at least buy two. Use them to lift, bro.

        • @Cheap Charlie:

Apparently a dodgy brand from some reviews…

Two reviews, one giving it five stars and one person who didn't test it giving it one star when it failed when he was on holidays.

I question your absence of logic when you suggest a $2000 alternative to a $200 unit.

        • With a generator like this even if it can output the power you want it and then the generator breaks and you replace it with the exact some one it doesnt mean that it wont fry your laptop or be crazy loud as well.

Purchased. Have been after a cheap camping generator for a bit. Thought at least if it was from masters rather than a cheap eBay one it would be easier to take back if something goes wrong.

    • … until the stores close for good!

    • Until they close the stores soon and/or tell you to go straight to the manufacturer anyway, that's the other tick Masters try…

  • Where is there stock around Sydney?

  • Recommend anyone who buys this sees this video and does the run in procedure

I don't think tpe stuff is that bad. It's just they don't use Honda engines anymore. This is an awesome gene for the price. Might want to get a toaster out for the run in procedure.

According to their website they still use Honda engines for some models.

Bought one today via click & collect in Adelaide. Went to pick-up and they sold the last one in stock right while I was there waiting. Bad luck they said. First and last Masters Shopping experience. Now where's my money ? I can go on the site and add one to my cart right now from the same store.

    • Had a similar experience - when they had 20% off lighting or whatever it was as part of the "click frenzy" thing, ordered half a dozen light fittings in the morning … a number of hours later received the SMS to say "ready for collection", went down there after work to collect them, and after 10+ minutes of them trying to find where the order was, they just went and grabbed them off the shelf (luckily they had them in stock though).

Hope you don't have to jump through hoops or wait forever for a refund. Idiots shouldn't have click-and-collect available for clearance items, or items under a certain quantity - would prevent crap like this happening.

      • I told them that as well. PayPal will be my friend hopefully. But I am p#ssed I didn't snap up a 2kva genny for $200.. anyway, moving onto the next bargain.

    • Hi Fitzy777, when you purchased via click and collect, did you just receive the tax invoice email or "your order is ready for collection email?" I also ordered one today in Adelaide via click and collect at around 3pm. Didn't receive the "ready for collection" email until around 4:30pm. This email also has an order number attached. I assumed if it was given an order number that it would be taken off of the shelf and set aside with my name on it. I'm wondering if I make the call before I drive down there tomorrow??

      • Sorry mate, just saw this now. I only got the tax invoice, but as it was a clearance item I assumed it would have been in stock. When I got there at about 4:30pm to pick it up they said there was one out the back for collection so that was probably yours. They one they sold in front of me was on the shelf as they hadn't gone out and moved mine out the back yet.

  • Is it possible to connect one of these directly up to a man's nipples? Or would require fiddling around on my part..

    • +1

I would have said 'fiddling around on your part' went together with the whole nipple thing?

  • Very well written positive review, mmm almost too good.
It's as though the marketing department has quoted the pr verbatim.
Or I could just be paranoid
But made in qld? They don't make anything there, cept , bikinis and cockroach eating canetoads!!!

    • But made in qld?

      Importer is in QLD.

      They don't make anything there,

Corrupt politicians and stupidity we excel in producing.

    Sold out SEQ

  • Has anyone actually got one of these for $199 yet? If so can they share receipt? I went to Chullora NSW store and it's on the clearance desk for $249 but they wouldn't honor 20% off that price and all their 20% off tickets on the shelf where for specific brands like "20% off Stanley" etc.

For anyone looking for one St Marys and Marsden stores in Sydney have no stock, Chullora had one left on the clearance table at 1:45pm today.

    • Just had a look at google cache and it appears it was on their site at $199.60 but has since been updated to $249 deal so not sure the 199 price is valid anymore

    • for what it's worth it's a excellent unit for $249 have been running a 1KW load on it for almost 2 hours hasn't skipped a beat very easy to start and has quite a few accessories doesn't feel "cheap and nasty" either. I also ran 1.8KW load for a 5 mins and again it didn't seem to struggle.

  • For the record, none at Northmead NSW.
