  • Does it come with a pencil?

  • Does it have an Apple warranty?

  • Are they good price ? Been thinking of getting an ipad but always too expensive.
For everyday use like web browsing and youtube, movies, do I need the Pro or other models can do the same but cheaper ?

    • If you are just doing browsing, youtube and movies then better to get an ipad air 2. Unless your prefer a 12.9" screen.

    • During my first week of use 12.9" iPad Pro, it was just too big for me.
After two weeks of use, I finally get used to the big screen size and like it very much.
I used to bring my iPad 3 to toilet, and I still bring iPad 3 to toilet now.
iPad Pro 12.9" is just too big/heavy to hold while you are in the toilet.
I used to bring iPad 3 with me when I was out, and I still bring iPad 3 with me when I am out.
iPad Pro 12.9" is just too big to bring when I am out.
      I wish that I had bought iPad Air 2 128GB 4G instead of iPad Pro 12.9" 128GB 4G.
      Just my 2 cents.

  • $300 extra for a cellular addition, wonder how much is the cost to put the cellular in.

a few dollars more for Apple then X100 for your wallet - APPLE STYLE

  • Grey import but great price nonetheless.

  • Are these likely to attract the GST import tax? THe invoice will still be for the full amount. Would be great if you could sneak it through without the additional tax.

  • It seems like the wifi models ships from Hong Kong while the cellular models ship locally from Melbourne.

Also noticed the the wifi models of the 9.7" & 12.9" iPad Pro are the same price o_O

    • Cellular models are shipped locally from Melbourne.
      But… are they really Australian?

Does anyone have firsthand experience on whether GST will be collected by the courier upon delivery?

I am aware of the arguments - GST is collectible if value is above $1000.

Value is often transaction value - our transaction value will in fact be just below $1000, even though the invoice will probably show the full amount as per eBay checkout amounts from these types of sales.

Based on the above, the possible scenarios are:
    1. GST gets collected, but is then arguable to be refunded if you can be bothered to argue the concept of "transaction value" with a customs officer later.
    2. GST gets collected, no recourse to argue this
    3. GST doesn't get charged, because the item "slips" through due to customs officer inattention
    4. GST doesn't get charged, because Kogan declares a lower value

Which was it, based on FIRSTHAND experience? Anybody? Thanks
