    • That's it, was not available earlier today

  • Would like to know how this TV compares to brand names TV's like Samsung etc. Would you say you get what you pay for with new TV's?

A family member may be able to get me a 'second' but 'perfect' one, just don't know how much yet.

Would you say you get what you pay for with new TV's?

      Yes.

    • "Would you say you get what you pay for with new TV's?"

Not always. Samsung have had major issues with many of their models and tried to avoid compensating customers (one class action in the USA forced them to do so). I've had a Samsung that was a dud and I recently bought a Platinum which I am very happy with the image quality for the price. Time will tell if it lasts the distance but it has three times the warranty of the Samsung. Warranty length tells you what confidence a company has in its products longevity.

Pretty sure if you google a couple of the other big brands you will find more issues than you would expect from higher priced items.

I have plenty of AV experience and know what to look for in a TV or projected image and the 55 inch Platinum I bought in the recent clearance is great value and I know I will get at least 3 years out of it which is more than I got from the Samsung.

      • If it's 3 years warranty - can't see it anywhere on the site - that makes a big difference.

        • @DU99:

Thanks but there's no review there, just the item page. No warranty info.

        • scroll down the page read the reviews it mention in one review about warranty

"ProsEasy to Use, good enough picture quality, good value for money, 3 years warranty
Consavg tv speakers, no optical out, power indicator light too bright, tv ui needs translucent option and repositioning"

        • @DU99:

Tried in 3 browsers and nothing, no reviews or mention of warranty.

Edit ; got it, Ghostery was blocking. Thanks.

  • Bought one yesterday and today was refunded, order couldn't be processed. SE Brisbane.

  • Anybody else find the sound so very tinny on this TV?

Pick up a Thomson soundbar from Target, I think they are $39 or $29. I recently got a Bluetooth soundbar for $6.70 at the Broadway store, so you never know what you will find at your local.
