  Is this a bargain or are there cables of better value?

  And a technical one - do MBPs and MBAs send audio over such cables (from MiniDisplay port or Thunderbolt) as well? I know MBPs do send audio over HDMI port, not sure about Thunderbolt/MDPort.

    MBPs do send audio over mini display port. I have a late 2011 MBP which doesn't have hdmi but I bought a mini display to hdmi cable similar to this one and it does do audio. Note that not all cables do audio, I asked about this on eBay and the cheaper ones may not do audio.

    As to the value of this deal, I think it's decent. I've bought a no name one on eBay for $12 before so a 2m name brand for $20 is decent.

      I bought a $5 one myself, and it's worked just fine. I don't think the brand really makes much of a difference though.

        The seller has 38 negative feedbacks over 700 positive received. Certainly high which most likely from bad products and if the seller is non responsive, a bad customer service. Just my opinion.
