    Girl weights $27

    How can you tell they are girls ?

    • LOL

    • +2

      Coz you can chuck 'em in the creek.

    • +37

      Theres a girl on the box. Look how proud of herself she is. "I'm being healthy!"

      My dumbells are currently set to 12.5kg, and nobody's proud of that. When I lift, all I hear is a voice saying "Come on you piece of sh%t! Is that really all you can do?! I can't believe it, you're so pathetic"

      Thats not in my head btw, thats my mum.

      • +2

        Be proud, form over weight!!

      • +2

        Do you even lift?

        • Bro?

    • benches under 100

    • Cos u can't lift em

    • Lift their tail.

    Benchy Thing

    10/10

    • Agree!

    • +8

      It is a benchy thing. I don't know why hamza changed it.
      "Upper Core Bench"? Who knows what that cryptic term means.

      • +10

        You get a good workout for your brain trying to figure out how the hell to use it.

    excellent description and full marks for the effort.

  • +22

    Stuff that will soon to be hitting a front lawn during hard rubbish collection day near you.;)

    • Lol totally agree. Before then though it gets put up on gumtree for 1/4 of the purchase price and surprisingly, they've all been hardly used!

  • If 1.5kg is the biggest weight it includes, that set is for children

    • +4

      Clearly, women shouldn't lift more than 1.5kg or they will develop manly muscles.

        • -3

          Yeah, pussys post here too.

          @Tuba:

          Women lack a key ingredient to building manly muscles: testosterone.

          Sorry Gals

        • +1

          @theworks: not all of them ;) lol

        • +1

          @Slippery Fish:

          Well youre right, all women have testosterone and some women have more than others!

        • -2

          @Tuba:

          Thanks for the show of support tuba, your a good spokeswoman. Your faction is always welcome in my threads :)

          @theworks: Caitlyn.

      • I'm not sure how you took that from my comment. I was saying that women should easily start their weightlifting with more that 1.5kg dbs. I assume you're joking in some way but I can;t see it.

        • +1

          I'd have to assume it was sarcasm as any woman who couldn't lift 1.5kg I would consider to be extremely frail to the point of useless. Unless they're elderly or ill type frail which is fine.

          Dig that story couple of months ago with the 78yo lady doing 100kg deadlifts, not at all manly.

        Clearly, women shouldn't lift more than 1.5kg

        No, they should - it's hard work lifting pots and pans in the kitchen all day :P

      • I think cupcount is across the 1.5kg / pink dumb bell thing that is disdained across the fitness community. Except by Tracey Anderson. Who is in turned the butt of jokes.

        Some of you may have missed the joke…

    • +2

      Why would anyone buy this lol? Go to coles / woolies, buy a plastic tub of 1kg or 2kg sugar / flour and lift that!

      Added bonus is you can adjust the weight or use it for food once you give up on working out

    The exercise bike looks like it could easily convert to an ironing board, in case anyone is looking for an expensive ironing board.

    • Im actualy abit larger myself Nd was considering cutting the seat off and using a chair that holds my weight. Lol lots of opertunity! Did you know a cheap recumbant cycle is $400ish for large guys :(

  • the rowing machine is not advertised as special on Big W online.
    Is it limited store only?

    • These are CLEARANCE they won't be online

  • +1

    The bike on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Confidence-Fitness-Space-Saving-Bike/d…

    Sounds like it is suitable for a limited height range (reviews suggest 5' would be to short and 5'10 would be to tall).

  • Is this nationwide?
    Anyone found in nsw?

  • +4

    It looks like massive el cheapo crap, probably reduced to clear for a reason. Staying away from this one.

  • Anyone have experience with the bike? Could use an exercise bike but not sure if I should just shell out the $$ for a better one.

    • +1

      Review on the Amazon link I posted above.

    • +1

      I walked one home years and years ago. It was a good workout on the arms.

      The recumbent bikes are way more comfortable though.

      These days I wouldn't bother with cycling at home unless the bureau predicted 4 months of cold wind with stormy rain. I cycle where I need to go. You could get more variety at home doing lunges and squats in every possible direction and style without buttock friction.

  • Any idea how many watts of resistance it can generate?

    • I'm no expert but probably in the order of 1.21 gigawatts.

  • Anyone know what the rowing machine is like?

  • +1

    Bought the bike. Do recommend

    Sturdy. Easy to set up. Pretty quiet.
    Do note it is only recommended for those under 100kg

    • Good to know, how heavy was the packaging from Big W? Easy for one person to lift into the car?

      • +1

        It's one box. Maybe 10kg? I'd say you could manage
        Easily fit onto the back seat of a Suzuki swift

        I'm 174cm. 72kg. I do go to the gym but it is a fairly easy lift

        Slightly easier with two people, but you could even assemble this solo as well

        All tools are provided as well

        • Thanks mate, appreciate your help! Might grab one this arvo

        • I'm 190cm. Do you reckon the reviews on Amazon would be accurate that it wouldn't be a good fir for someone of my height?

        • +1

          @tomsco:
          I would recommend trying it in store first. You probably wouldn't be comfortable at your height with this bike is my guy feeling

          But maybe it's worth taking a $50 punt?
          The seat height is adjustable, but the pedals are not. And despite being foldable, the bike only operates at one angled setting (if that makes sense - not adjustable except the seat height)
