Snickers 50g and Max Choc 49g Bar Using Hungerithm (As Low as $0.50) @ 7-Eleven - Save up to 80%

150

Just read this on Mashable. Snickers has a promotion where the price of a Snickers bar will drop based on how angry the internet is. "an algorithm by Melbourne Institute of Technology that monitors the online mood and then moves the price of Snickers accordingly (called using Hungerithm developed by MIT"

The price can drop as low as 50 cents.

Just access the site, check how angry the internet is, and get a bar code at that price.
Then make your way to a 7-Eleven to get a bar at that price. Just note barcodes self-destruct every 60 minute.

FYI, Reject Shop also have the 45g 3 Nuts (Limited Edition) one for 50 cents (in their catalog). Not sure if it is locally made or parallel import though.

3 nuts - no wonder it's in a reject shop

      • If you're going to have a nut allergy, you might as well go out in style!

These posts make me so angry!

Worked for me. Snagged one at $0.67, and given it's 7/11 was able to use PayPass (no minimum).

Hope you used your ING Direct card, and got 2% off. Would have saved you 1 cent

      • you could not pull a pin out with a tractor with u huh.

The lowest price of $1 per 100g is alright but chocolate does go on special for less. This "deal" is a bit of a marketing gimmick and not so much of a bargain.

Right now the fun size bars are on special at $1.06 per 100g at Coles

  • this is just cool

As opposed to the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

If the price was based on how angry the public should be towards the scum who operate 7eleven stores, they be free…all the time. But even then I would still not walk onto their property to collect.

    Stuff 7eleven.

  • $0.49 right now.

    • It's 59c for me.

      • Ah must be my computer (it says $0.49 but the timeline at the bottom says 7:30PM $0.59). It says $0.59 for me as well on mobile.

  • I would rather get it at Coles for 50 cents more than get it at 7/11. My dignity is worth more.
