Still using mine from a 2013 special, it was 299 then. That's if it's the same model AK40LE.

Fantastic TV for the price with 0 input lag if you want to use it as a computer monitor or for console gaming.

Draws less than 50w from the wall at full use, barely sips power.

      • Can it swivel vertically?

        • That's what the experts call tilting.

        • The stand is fixed. It does have VESA mounts though (can't confirm now, but I'm very sure I remember seeing them).

I've set up a lot of TVs in the last few years, and I can't say I've ever seen a TV with a tilt mechanism. There were a few old LCDs that had height adjustments on the stand's neck, but I've never heard of tilt on a TV.

Here's a thread on the TV from the last time it was on sale for $299. There's some decent information in the comments section, a lot of which were my comments from 2 years ago lol!

its Akai made by Tempo (Japan)

Viano/Polaroid/Akai/Hitachi…all made in the same factory for Woolworths/BigW

    • Check the returns policy. Maybe you can try and return for change of mind.

Does anyone know which universal remote app for android will work with AKAI tv?

    • Peel? (Prepare for barage of ads)

    • If you want hardware, Get one from Harvey Norman at $20. Its under clearance

    • Sure TV app on play store has almost every brand. Try it.

      • Yeah it has 'Akai' in most of these apps, but they don't work.

        • That is because it's not actually made by Akai - it's a generic TV badged as Akai by Tempo, just like Hitachi, Bauhn and others…

        • @systema: Yes I realized that, hence my question on which app can work with it. Or rather, which brand should I choose on the list of brands available in the app?

        • @wildstone:
Try Vivid TV if there is such option - it worked with some Bauhn TV (also generics from Tempo) so it may work here.

My Dog 400g $1.00 Must be a teacup pup?

  • Royal gala or pink lady?

    • Further down the post it mentions Royal Gala Apples in the notables section. I'm guessing that's the one the title was referring to.

      • I meant should I get Royal galas at ww this week or pink lady at coles as both are priced similarly

        • +1

My daughter is fussy and will only eat Pink Lady apples so I know which ones I am getting.

I thought you were trying to figure out the reference in the title. It would be good if it could be modified to include the variety given there are so many types of apples.

        • +1

Pink ladys are way better eating than royal gala so go pink ladys & at 2.50 kg thats great buying .I live in an apple producing area & am going to buy some from the farm gate tomorrow 2kgbag for $5.00 .
