    • It's ebay you are buying through so no.

Did Myer just increase the price on the iRobot Roomba 630?
It now shows as $599? I'm pretty sure I saw it lower a few minutes ago :(

    • +1

      Yes. Cheeky #@@@#

Everything has gone up in price!

Deal should now be marked expired.

    • You can see the original discount price in the header post.

  • Kitchenaid prices now jacked up

  • I think all the Myer deals need to be expired! No more double dipping!

  • Looks like the prices on eBay are being increased before our eyes. The Kitchenaid is now $799 prediscount and the iRoomba is $599. Parrot headphones and the milk frother are the same story. Cameras are out of stock, goneeeeee

Surely this is worth an ACCC complaint. That is very blatant.

    • +1

No, the 20% super weekend thing ended Sunday, the lazy myer ebay team didnt change it.

eBay prices are allowed to change. Just like how retailers change their price on sale days, eg. harvey normans jack up prices 50% then reduce them by 20%

      • OK, that is within the rules.

        • Not an ACCC thing, but a good way to p*ss off your customers.

The Good Guys and Bing Lee are the only ones who actually do a proper 20% off.

        • @bargain_knight: they all do it, good guys jacked up their price of the moto G on the collect deal (few other items as well) .. even though it was cheaper to still buy it from them on ebay i got it from another store …

        • @bargain_knight: It is potentially still an ACCC matter. From their website:

          Two-price comparison advertising
Businesses often make comparisons between product prices being charged and:

the company's previous pricing (including 'was/now' or 'strike through' pricing or by specifying a particular dollar amount or percentage saving)
          the 'cost' or wholesale price
          the competitor's price
          the recommended retail price (RRP).
Businesses that use such statements must ensure that consumers are not misled about the savings that may be achieved.

Statements such as 'Was $150/Now $100' or '$150 Now $100' are likely to be misleading if products have not been sold at the specified 'before' or 'strike through' prices in a reasonable period immediately before the sale commences.

Such statements are also likely to be misleading if only a limited proportion of a product's sales were at the higher price in the period immediately before the sale commences. The volume or proportion of sales that may result in such statements being misleading will depend on the circumstances of each case.

The length of the period will depend on factors such as:

the type of product or market involved
the usual frequency of price changes.
If a business has a policy or practice of discounting goods when not on sale and uses two-price advertising in relation to sale periods, there is a significant risk that the use of two-price advertising will involve conduct that is misleading. The business would be representing to consumers that they will make a particular saving if they purchase the item during the sale period, when this is not necessarily the case.

Similar considerations apply to the specification of dollar amount or percentage savings such as 60% off.

        • @Marlboro Man:
Yes, but to be reasonable, their sale last week was advertised as running over the weekend.
They were slow to revert those weekend prices back to the pre-sale pricing. I don't think anybody at Myer implied they were extending the weekend sale to overlap with the ebay offer.
The Super Weekend sale very clearly says it runs until midnight Sunday, so Myer are well within their rights to revert prices at that time, or afterward.
          Super Weekend Sale terms:
          http://www.myer.com.au/c/latest-news/wk17-super-weekend-excl…

        • @mskeggs: Yeah, that is reasonable. I was talking more about Harveys and GG etc. jacking up the prices just before the sale days.
