  • What brand is this?
How's it compare to Laser $80 delivered (previous deal)?
Cable around $5 so can't see much bargain here if this vs Laser same quality.

  • No RMVB file play?

  • Good Post…

However it is always a good idea to have the Brand and Model in the Title of your post, Can you update it Please?
"YESS DVBT 9300 PVR with Media Player" Taken from link.

Also I really want a PVR with Ethernet, so I can upload the files to my NAS so any TV in my house can watch the recordings??? Any ideas?

model YESS DVBT 9300, anyone have experience with this?
"Formats read: MPEG-2/4 SD/HD MPEG-4 H.264/AVC SD/HD. DivX, JPEG,BMP,PNG, Motion JPEG AVI, VOB, MOV, MKV"
records to usb like the Laser unit, seems to play more files but costs more too, $99 vs $69.98 +ship, still waiting to pickup my Laser unit, which one to get…

    • i would go the laser, depending where you buy at least some shops you can actually return it to if there is an issue.

mine had a problem i swapped it for a new one the next day

  • Not a bargain @ $110 delivered but @ $80 delivered I'm willing to buy 1 to test out.

  • Fairly good deal, although this price is becoming normal now. Kmart had one for $99 the other day…

Remember that you need to separately buy a USB hard drive and it's only a single tuner.

  • doesn't seem to be on their website

but it looks the same format as the laser/dgtec clones

offerme.com is the group buy for $108.95 shipped, crazystu has it normally $119 free ship;http://crazystu.com.au/YESS_HD_PVR_MEDIAPLAYER-p-315786.html#x13BbzbGwa8T

This one has a pretty well speced media player inbuilt none of the other units mentioned do. Laser and Kogan have one, but on paper this is better.

  • hmmm….
    from shopping square….

Please note when using a portable hard drive to record programs, portable hard drive must have their own power supply

so not really a true 'portable' hard drive then?…….none of my portables have separate power supplies

    • Yes I guess there's a bit of confusion about 2.5" vs 3.5" hard drives, and portable vs external vs internal…

The 3.5" externals normally need their own power supply, but are actually cheaper per GB.

      • indeed……to me, 'portable' means the 2.5" usb run drives, which this unit seems incompatible with. The externals might be cheaper per gb, but they are generally a lot bigger. I bought one of those wd 750gb portables from OW the other day…..fantastic little machine..great for swapping between rooms/media players.

    • This unit works with my Samsung S2 USB-powered portable HDD.

  • @inherentchoice, thats the Laser model, could have picked that up last week for $69.98!
ps SOLD OUT! title should be edited

    • Is there any Laser owners who can clarify media file support? I've searched everywhere but can't find any further detail.
      Laser: Divx, MP3, AVI
Yess: Photo: JPG, BMP, PNG. Music: WMA, MP3, M4A, AAC. Movie: AVI, MPG, DAT, VOB, DIV, MOV, MKV, TS, TRP, MOTION JPEG.
