Just Cause 3 Medici Edition $49 - Xbox One or PlayStation 4 from JB Hi-Fi

100

Just Cause 3 Medici Edition for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Both are currently $49 at JB Hi-Fi (was $89).

I've played both JC1 & 2 but haven't played Just Cause 3 yet — have neither XB1 nor PS4 and I don't think I'll enjoy it as much on my GTX860m. Lots of explosion & good stress relief :)

Huge framerate problems on the ps4 version, it's a fun game but everything slows to a crawl when you cause any chaos.

    • No problems on mine.

    • Works fine here. I suggest you rebuild database.

      • Nothing to do with rebuilding the database. I know what Rukia means, though they have slightly overstated the problem (doesn't exactly slow to a crawl). The game does perform horribly when anything is going on, some people just don't notice this kind of thing as much as others.
I've had it sitting around waiting for a patch that might make it more playable, but at this point it looks like the developers may have moved on. Maybe when PS4.5 comes along….

        • " waiting for a patch that might make it more playable"

What a shame that they don't care at all for the console version, I bought the game on PC at release $34 from cdkeys, it was pretty much unplayable with highly variable frame rates dropping as low as 20 fps, though after a few weeks and a couple patches they pretty much sorted all those issues out it now runs at 60-70 fps without drops.

I suppose at least if you have the physical version on PS4 you can sell it on ebay or something.

        • Yep, agreed. I do have a feeling its because they put the "B" team on it, while the "A" team (who made JC2, which in some ways still looks better than JC3 IMO. I put over 100 hours into that game) made Mad Max, which looks great and has a perfect framerate.

I'll still hold onto it, just in case they're working on something to make it not suck on console.

JC3 is great but the content is more watered down. JC2 had a better map and more things to do.

  • I recently got it on XBOX One after enjoying JC 1 and 2 on the PC.

The map is large but the game is very repetitive. Capture towns and bases, over and over and over again.

I didn't enjoy it as much as JC 1 or JC 2.

    For $50 it isn't a bad deal I guess.

  • What's the difference with this one vs the edition one? Are they same?
Is this a good price i normaly wait till games get older and buy for less but its $49 is this different from the edition one?
And i think comparing it its ok price but any good?
