Thats the GoPro Hero+, not silver.
GoPro Hero+ Surfstitch$167.97 with 30% off.
Does that Hero+ have an LCD?
No not this one but you can get one with an LCD
Damn. Paid $230 about a month ago. Oh well.
I checked the Gopro manuals (on their website).
This Gopro Hero does 720p at 60fps Superview while the Gopro Hero+ can do 1080p at 30fps. Neither have wifi.
I hope that helps.
I was pretty sure the Hero+ has WiFi and Bluetooth.
And Hero+ can do 1080p at 60fps (it's in the picture at the link above)
Oh! I stand corrected. Must have looked at the manual for the old version then, my apologies !
So looks like a better deal than getting a Xiaomi Yi then (which will also need the extra housing)?
Saying that its waterproof, dustproof etc. Check out the Specs according to Officeworks
I have one arriving soon with a bunch of accessories, might review when it arrives
Seems very cheap for a gopro (of any sort)!
Seen some very practical uses for them. Not just a hobby-toy.
Tempted to purchase but not exactly sure what i would be using it for.
same here
Yep me too, bought it anyway because bargain is life.
got one for free from some HBF promotion a while ago. Your phone is probably better unless you plan on doing lots of 'action' stuff
I doubt my phone will handle scuba diving :)
Bought a Hero 3 quite a while back and I've used it for about an hour in total. Not one of my wisest buys.
Can someone tell me the specs of this? (Resolution, fps etc…) Thank You!
B+H Photo have specs listed (For Base Hero):
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1078011-REG/gopro_chdh…
Click the specs tab.
*Things to note:
Battery is built in (cant carry spares to fit when out and about) Battery life is 2.5 hours approx!
You could pack a thin battery pack (which is what I would do, like a 5000mAh thin one) and top it up
as you go..Casing is fixed! If you damage it, you cant replace it, the housing and the camera are one!
Only the rear door is interchangeable (for water or outdoor use). I read this was an issue for some who'd
dropped it in reviews. All the reviews I've read say it's a great cam! Video footage shows it's a little more saturated in colours than the Hero+ and the Hero+LCD… But they are also a little sharper (given the 8MP sensor)..
For $115 with free delivery.. seems a winner for this snow season!
Gopro Hero does 720p at 60fps.
Gopro Hero+ can do 1080p at 30fps.
Neither have wifi.I hope that helps :)
Ok thanks for the specs, I think it's worth the $115. I'm going on a cruise this year so I was looking for a good camera
It says here that the Hero+ has wifi and 1080p at 60fps: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/09/the-hero-is-gopros-new-ent…
I stand corrected! You are right, thank you for the rectification :)
They are also available from Surfstitch on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Gopro-Hero-Plus-Camera-Digita…
Not a terrible price but I don't think this was ever officially called the silver. Just make sure you don't think your getting a hero 4 or similiar silver. No LCD on these and limited recording modes.
Not that it will affect the functionality but these have also been discontinued.
