Got a few of these battery operated LED string lights - https://www.masters.com.au/product/900044516/mini-ripple-bud… $2 each before 40% discount (on clearance, so may depend on the store). So much easier than overloading powerboards with double adaptors for traditional Christmas plug-in lights.

    • Be sure to use over stocked eneloops

  • Has anyone installed LED lights from Masters and can comment on the quality please?

    • That really is a ridiculously silly question.

      • … why?

        • +1

They have hundreds of different LED lights, all of different styles and from different manufacturers. In many cases they have various price/quality levels for a particular style of light.

So, how could any Ozbargainer's opinion about quality for whatever they installed be relevant to whatever you were considering purchasing?

        • -1

          @llama:

Because perhaps they would kindly specify which one they are talking about.

        • +1

          @Chik5555:

So you waste everyone's time, simply because you are too lazy to ask a specific question?

        • @llama: No, because I don't have a specific question, I was asking about any brand LED lights from Masters

        • @Chik5555:

I was asking about any brand LED lights from Masters

Yessss…. but for what possible purpose?

Consider if somebody asked "Has anyone eaten food from Coles and can comment on the quality please?"

Even if they got 3000 replies, the information gathered wouldn't actually be of any practical use.

It is either ON or OFF depending on which position the switch is in. It works :)

      • I'm happy with that, thanks

We recently installed the liteworks 10W Warm White LED downlights in a property we were renovating. Purchased them at the last sale. Really happy with them especially at $6. We have also installed the SAL Wave's in properties and there is virtually no difference between the liteworks and the waves. (A GOOD price for the Waves is $15)

      Highly recommend for $6.

The only issue for some is the liteworks aren't plug and play which is great in my opinion. The number of lights we see installed and the lead thrown out is ridiculous.

      • Oh yeah. I can't comment if they're dimmable. There's nothing in the packaging to say either way and I've never had them installed on a dimmer.

        • @Steptoe:

Good pickup. When I last bought them they weren't on the site at all. Only problem is the specifications is not for the actual lights. They are 90mm 750 lumens. I bought another 64 today and have them in front of me. I would assume they aren't dimmable though.

        • @kaboomxyu:
Did you get 40% off in-store?

        • @Steptoe:

Nah. Tried to order online last night but the code didn't work. Rang them today and they put the order through with the discount. Picked them up this arvo. :-)

      • Thank you so much for that. Glad to hear that positive review. I was looking at them.

  • any chance of getting large qty of some items? trying to fit out a house cant seem to get more than 3-4

    • Hi quoccus, you will only be able to order up to the amount of stock that is available in you local store. I would suggest calling our contact centre on 1300 337 707 to see if they can place orders from multiple stores for you. You may be required to pickup from multiple stores or pay for delivery.

  • Code doesnt seem to work for Orbit products even thought it says 40% off

I don't reckon you can go wrong buying one of the Eglo LED flood lights at 40% off.

I purchased 5 of the 30w one's with the sensors around 2 weeks ago. I wanted to turn night into day if they picked up motion as I've got security camera's - they light the place up really well.

I didn't have a clue what size one to get, so I purchased one each of the 20w, 30w and 50w to take home and try out. I found the 20w wasn't bright enough for what I wanted and the 50w was actually too bright, plus it's huge. I've now got 4 of the 30w's across the front of our place.

The best part is you don't need an electrician as they simply plug in and the 4 lights I have now still use less power than the single 200w halogen I had at the front door previously.

The full range of Eglo LED flood lights can be found here - http://bit.ly/1TXZCux

      • Not needing an electrician is a bit of a myth. Sure they plug in but how many people have power outlets near where you want to mount these things. You'll have to run the cables down to where your outlet is and make an unsightly mess. It'll probably work out cheaper for many just to hardwire it as you'll be saving the cost of a power outlet (just labour).

I'll also be interested on how the Eglos compare to the tons of similar ones on ebay that are significantly cheaper. I'm sure there's a lot of rubbish there too but considering it's all made in China there would be a lot of comparable ones too. On second thought, Masters would be a safer bet from a warranty perspective…. or may be not ;)

  • This was asked late night but no answer from Masters…

Why are the Illume skylights not included?

    • +1

Hi Maverick, I have DM'd you. Unfortunately Skylights are not included.
