Just read that link JV, and it's not just poor quality, but also that it doesn't toast well either.
Reminds me of using our Breville this morning, and forgetting to eject 1/2 way through and flip / rotate / reposition the slices so that it toasts evenly. I ended up with a heap of one-sided toast ARGGHHHH.
For such a simple appliance, it stuns me that so many manufacturers (especially the name brands) just cannot get it right.
How hard could it possibly be to make a high quality toaster that cooks the bread evenly? Yet the $9 ones at Kmart can manage it… hmmm.
Picked one of these up when they were on clearance at Myer - they're pretty poorly made. The lever to lower the toast snapped off after a month of use and the replacement one is also having some issues.
Doesn't really do a great job of toasting either, so calling the product 'Perfect Toast' is a bit of a stretch.
I won't touch Russell Hobbs stuff anymore, parents had a kettle that wasn't cheap and the handle became loose and the water started leaking all over the base within a year or so from when it was bought. The cheap Kambrook kettle that it replaced is still going strong some many years later.
All of the other Russell Hobbs appliances that I've looked at don't inspire confidence when it comes to build quality.
What once was a reputable brand name now seems to be slapped onto cheaply made but overpriced appliances.
Just wondering when they changed the name to Armada Arndale?
About 6 months ago from memory. Was bought out earier than that from Centro. Hasn't been a Westfield for ages as the OP stated.
Hope it's good for you. We had a Russ hobs toaster, it was so slow and dried the toast out because of the speed. Terrible for something so basic.
Hmm, a toast toaster, is that like a bread breadmaker? :)
That's the real reality of the marketing world.
Cheaper than $6000…
NOT so perfect…
