  • Postage to Bunbury WA is killer on this deal at $111. Delivery to Melbourne is reasonable at ~$33 if you around there.

    • still cheaper than the equivalent Samsung though.

      • This is true, but you have to take into account you are dealing with Kogan and only get a 12 month warranty.

  • Anyone know much about the picture quality on this model?

    • I wouldn't imagine they would given it's a pre sale

  • +1

To me a Samsung panel is a turn off not a benefit. Just google samsung tv black lines and you will find plenty of info on all the bad panels Samsung plasma and LCD tvs have had. No help from Samsung either if out of warranty. I know because i had one that went bad after only two years and Samsung said tough luck. Then I discovered it was a worldwide problem.

To me a no name brand or up and coming like TCL or Changhong is much more attractive at least they have a 3 year warranty. That in itself also tells you how confident a vendor is in its own product. What does it say when they give a 1 year warranty? It says they dont expect it to last very long LOL.

As for Kogan, they have an abysmal customer service reputation and poor quality TVs (been there too) so all the more reason to avoid. Just my 2 cent rant triggered when I see comments about "samsung quality"

  • I have to say that I'm tempted, even if it is a Kogan one.

My only concern is that some people say these cheap TVs are based for gaming due to input lag.

If mostly be using for TV watching but I'd also want to Xbox on it

    • The numbers on the specs are quite good… 120Hz, 6ms…
I'm considering, but adding the shipping (for Canberra) and 5yrs Warranty (+108, which won't get you a new one back in case of problems, for sure as they're just rebranding, but at least you get the money back (except the $178 you spent on shipping and extended warranty)).

What else can you can at this price range ($677 delivered)?

  • Just so you guys know.
The current promo (APPSCLUSIVE) with Free Shipping if you buy using the App is not available for Presale Items (like this one).
I would buy it now, with such "discount", since it's not, I'm still thinking. :)
