24-70 f2.8 L USM II, cheapest Australian Stock
Tell me the price son.
$2174
@zef:
You mean "only $2174".
@anthonettex: :)
I find Ted's prices non-competitive in general. Even a 15% discount won't see much bargain, unless it's on expensive lenses.
Agree.
Agree +1
A Canon 24-105mm L series at $1130 - seriously ? The 13% brings it to $1000, which is still almost $200 more than the likes of Kogan or DigitalRev. The L series lenses already have an international warranty, so "grey" means nothing.
Might be a deal for a few lenses, but most seem pretty dear to me.
There is no international warranty for L lenses.
Maybe I stand corrected. Up to a couple of years ago, they had an international warranty, but it may be that Canon Australia has manipulated things.
I still don't see the bargain in Teds.
Online only? Or in store
Both
Thanks. When does the sale end?
Sunday
Manfrotto tripods still look expensive
Tamron 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 Di II LD

https://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/tamron-sp-af-10-24m… $395 DELIVERED using code TAMRON1024 ($18 off)
FYI The example above is with Nikon mount
Do note it's grey stock if that matters to people.
I've been waiting to get the Olympus 12-40mm 2.8, and Ted's price is the cheapest I've seen by a good margin.
I think I had seen that earlier - it does me no good since the lens is sold out.
I take the point, though. The lens is cheaper here: http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/olympus-m.zuiko-digi…
It wasnt sold out when i posted the link.
Eglobal is gray, i wouldnt buy it from them.
Ted's your best option if you need it now. If you have access to JB HI fi gift cards they might price match teds price
@aldoduco: Thanks for the tip - that's quite helpful.
great timing, been eyeing for sigma 50mm art for quite awhile , very reasonable if they also throw in the $100 gift card
seems like a good price on the newly available Sony 50mm f/1.8 FE
https://www.teds.com.au/checkout/cart/add/uenc/aHR0cHM6Ly93d…
$391
Yeah thinking of getting this on the weekend but I've heard the autofocus sucks - hunts like crazy and crappy focusing motor like the Canon EF 50mm f1.8. Bit of a rip-off if it's essentially the same as the nifty-fifty :(
Yes, its noisy and slow. The only advantage is that its lighter than the Canon 50/1.8 stm. But 3x the price. If you have the newer bodies, you might as well just get the Canon and an AF adapter.
ah was hoping the AF performance would be much better..
@impoze: I bought the 50mm f1.8 today after giving it a quick test in store. Autofocus seems fine. I think you need to update the camera firmware to improve performance. Seems to work well on my A7. Performance may differ on the A7S and A7R though and also the mk2 versions.
@julz: nice, thanks for the quick feedback
Ted has discount price online, when you add to cart it disappears?
The Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 G lens is a decent buy.
https://www.teds.com.au/nikon-af-s-70-200mm-f2-8-g-ed-vr-ii
Comes down to $2,483.96 as Nikon have their Autumn $300 cashback offer on.
It was cheaper last year (~$2300 iirc) however Nikon have put up their prices internationally in the past 6 months due to the soft aussie dollar.
any luck with zeiss batis 85mm?
