Definitely agree! Aussies have great consumer rights. My OMD-EM1 kept failing and Olympus wasn't doing anything about. I took it back to the store and got the body switched over.
Ditto, with bad personal experience. I bought a waterproof Nikon from eGlobal with 2 years warranty. 14 months later it leaked, I sent it back to eGlobal (at no small expense-they are in Hong Kong) they said water damage was not covered-yeah, I guess its not a waterproof camera. The government consumer protection organisation that I contacted there could do nothing expect ask these thieves and liars to honour their warranty. Guess what, they didn't.
Price match at digidirect and you get an extra battery
you will be giving up 2 years local warrany for $150. Better buy local and pay with a credit card with price protection.
