Virgin Australia are offering a discount to all family & friends of staff (and OzBargainers!)

Fares will be on sale from Today to Sunday 8 May 2016.

Up to 40% off domestic and trans-tasman flights. Up to 30% off short haul and a range of discounted fares for international long haul.

Ran a few quick tests:

ADL-MEL @ $69 down from $115.
SYD-PERTH @ $159 down from $249

Haven’t had a chance to check others.

Travel between 23 May and June 23 for Domestic!

      It usually has a little $ logo and says Sale if it is affected by a promotion.
      You can run the search without the promo code to confirm.

      the email says "You will know you have secured a great deal when the promotion tag is applied next to your fare."

      it's not the most noticeable indicator but there is a small $ sign on the price

      alternatively, try this link to have the code set and the date ranges defined

          there may be no more seats being sold for this discounted fare for the flight(s) that you're looking at.

          @shakoo: understandable - wish however they would put more sale seats on, went with jetstar for $180 syd to melb weekend, don't think I've ever seen Virgin have it that low but then again, virgin is also better quality than the other airlines

    I got excited about a flight to Brisbane for 3 for $134 until I continued to click through and it then said that is the per person cost. Why the flip can't they just show the total price on the first bloody screen! >:(

    Code still working but discounts are disappearing as more seats get booked.
    The discount only seems to apply on low sold flights.
    e.g yesterday on one flight ADL-SYD regular price was $165 with code $99. Today same flight regular is $179 with code $165.
    So return flights yesterday were $198 today are $330……he who hesitates
