      I checked out prices from Darwin, but $265 is pretty much the usual price so I didn't post it as a deal. ~$160 return is a good deal from Darwin.

    Scoot are great. Be warned though, when they charge ridiculous prices for your checked luggage, keep reminding yourself that you only paid $200-$300 for the ticket!

      If traveling solo there's a good "capsule" hotel in Chinatown for ~$40/night. Otherwise Singapore can be expensive for family accommodation.

        We went through airbnb and found a good place for two families to stay in one apartment at very reasonable pricing. So long as you are close to a train station you can get anywhere quickly and safely. I can highly recommend Singapore as a family destination, we had an amazing time over there!

      There are $13AU per night places available but basically its the spare room of a students house, but if your exploring most of the time its fine i think
