  I called Acer sales (redirected to warranty dept) to inquire their dead pixel policy for this monitor. The recording said that my position in the queue was 22!

    It certainly is NOT a zero dead-pixel warranty. It depends on where the defective pixels are, but you normally need 5 in a group or 8 scattered.

    Then you have Acer's wonderful warranty service outside of DOA;
    1. Wait an hour on the phone
    2. Log a PRR (Pickup Repair Return)
    3. Wait up to a week for DHL to pick it up from you
    4. Wait up to a month for the monitor to be sent back to you
    5. Check to see if problem has been fixed. If not, repeat 1.

    Unless it is a LOT cheaper than say Samsung, I would steer well clear of Acer screens.

  Nice price. First time I've seen a 24" go under 200 bucks since the 9289 Benq G2420HD offer.

  EDIT: Seems that this one doesn't have free shipping.

  i paid $300 for this just end of last year. its decent display very crisp and vivid but has backlight bleeding and a glossy panel that looks like a mirror.

    Hmmm, $165 for a 24", HDMI with speakers? That would have been a real bargain, I don't remember seeing anything like that.
