This is probably a better deal. QC 2.0 and 90W.

Just tried-took me 1 minute and works fine :) http://imgur.com/dsvSjq8

        • temped to get one of these QC chargers but also worried the whole system will be obselete with USB C coming down the pipe?
I dont even have a QC phone atm

        • If you don't have a QC phone then QC is already obsolete because of USB-C.

I have this charger and use it everyday, and have used it in different voltage overseas. It works well, even though it may not be QC 2.0 approved.

That said, I haven't read anything that alludes that their Power3s is bad for your phone etc. Reviews have been favourable, which is why I got it, plus all ports has Power3s, as opposed to the one QC for the tronsmart.

    • Power3S is 5V/2.4a. Not even close to QC2 ;)

      • How much is QC2??

        • QC2 is 5V/2A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A

          @Clear:
          So, which is better?

        • @albanyson: yeah I'm confused too

        • @albanyson: If your phone supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 (see list) then a QC charger will charge significantly faster than Power3S. In lab tests, QC2 charged a 3500mAh battery from 0% to 60% in 30 minutes.

          A standard charger is 5V/2.1a while Power3S is 5V/2.4a, so it'll charge a non-QC device slightly faster.

I recommend this BW charger if you don't have a QC phone.

      • Even better, coz it may not have "QC2/3 levels" of quick charge, but it runs the Power3s algorithm on everything.

I guess if I was really fussy with my QC devices, then I'd want QC, but as I said, I don't have a problem with this charging my QC phones (z3/z5) as it does it quickly enough, and I'm a heavy user.

  • good deal, I personally would go for this.. slightly more expensive though :)

    • Just a few questions I hope you can help me with.

      1. Why do you prefer this one? (what's better about it compared to the one in the port?)

      2. Are the 4 green ports not QC2? (Is it just one QC2 port?)

      3. what's the difference between the two ports?

      Thanks in advance

I personally have this and love it. I have a samung note 4 edge which supports quick charging and this charges my phone very quickly.

  • it's actually an excellent deal …… bangdood supply these with an Australian power cord ….. the others give you a crappy travel adapter and US or AU power cord ….. the AU power cord is $4.95 on it's own at jaycar, $4.25 at office works, so the right power cord adds to the savings.

Will need to get "another one"

    • How many USB cords?

    • Finally some one that understands!

      Thank you sir!

This one seems better: QC 2.0 with AUS plug. Slightly more expensive and one less port

  • I have one of these, it charges ok but very slow. It takes 6+ hours to charge my LG G2, while the original charger are much faster.
I dont see any point of getting it after received it, it took a few months too from another popular OZB seller…

    • Sounds like a fault if you ask me, maybe contact warranty if still within timeframe.
I'm surprised you didn't do that right off the bat. afaik wolfblitz stand by their products.

    • I've got a g2 and it takes around a quarter of that time with this charger. Maybe the one you've got is faulty like grunge says

      • -1

1/4 of the time compared to a regular 2A charger? HOW?

        • this was in reply to Jamesx saying that it was taking 6+ hours to charge his G2. mine takes about an hour and half to go from approx 5% to 100%.
i.e. which is roughly the same amount of time it takes for my single port 2A charger.

sorry if i wasn't very clear. it was past my usual bedtime :-)

Will this be ok to use with a USB type a to c cable for devices like Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P etc? (on the provision that the cable is approved)

    • Yes. But you will only get 2A probably. Not the 3A that a type c charger would do.

    • Should get 2.4A. Not a bad solution for charging a mix of devices I suppose.

      Here's a "plug" for an appropriate cable - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244440.

    I got one.
    It's super.

  • Does anyone know if this has bright LED lights that light up when charging?

My current no brand one lights the room up bright green, it's awful. I regret purchasing it.

    • …blu-tack?

      • Can't out blu-tac this https://imgur.com/jV8rtLQ

        • That's cool

Think they`d market that as a selling point. Flash lights included.

        • +1

Yeah - "Night light with bonus USB charging ports!"

        • …Wow. Sounds like you need to make a cardboard cutout stencil and plug all the ports!!

    • No lights, bright or otherwise.

      • Fantastic, thanks. I'll grab one of these then. Much needed.
