  • Anyone ever had any printed? I've had good and bad results with ArtsCow in the past.

    • +5

I've had tshrts done by them and was happy with the results.

      I'm definitely ordering again.

an inexpensive way to get band tshirts.

      • +5

Just tried the first image that was in my pictures folder messing around, honestly if they came out this good i'd be pretty impressed… http://imgur.com/Makbvqi

        • +1

          looks good !

        • That looks amazing

      • +1

So funny. Past couple of days i was just thinking about doing the same thing, cheap way to get band shirts (no bands i listen to sell merchandise in aus) and then this deal pops up, lovely timing :)

      • +1

Why band shirts gotta be so expensive in aus? I've ordered some from us sites and if ordering in bulk shipping is ok (ish) but still. Those prices after the exchange rate can be pretty annoying. What are the bands that don't sell merch in aus? just out of curiosity

        • Well, i listen to industrial/ebm so for example i am getting Rotersand shirts with this deal, but otherwise it would be Solitary Experiments, Pride and Fall etc (i dont expect anyone to have ever heard of any of these bands, hence the prob with buying merchandise)

          @Iggemo:
Tough crowd when you get negs for listing the music you like!

        • +2

@mskeggs: Agreed. Must admit I am not a fan of those Kraftwerky EBM groups, they make me think of that SNL skit:-

          but to each their own.

        • +4

@paizuri: I thought the whole idea of buying band t-shirts was to support your favorite bands?

        • @subywagon: well wearing a band shirt is advertising for the band anyway so you are supporting them still

  • anyone know how long delivery is? I'd like to order a few but i want to get one here first so i can see what the sizing is like. Not sure if it'll arrive before the expiry of 6 May tho?

    • takes 4-6 weeks

      • ouch !

        • +1

          yeah, but AU$10 each….

  • +3

Not as cheap but I've used http://www.theprintbar.com/ which is $15 pp for haynes tshirts, handy for North Brisbane as you can pick up.

This is a good deal tho, thanks OP

    • Cheers for that mate. Whereabouts in north bris, and how much is delivery? I might try it out

      • Unit 9 / 104 Newmarket Rd Windsor Q 4030

    • Thanks for that link. They have Gildan shirts in a range of colours for $22 printed, which is just about ideal if the print quality is good.

    • +1

Just from a quick look, I think you'll find The Print Bar shirts can only have a design or logo printed within a certain location, screenprinted like a regular logo t-shirt. I'm not sure what the correct phrase is, but you can feel the print compared to the fabric, and it most likely cannot be ironed directly.

The Artscow shirts can have print all over the front, back and on the sleeves, even on the collar, and is printed directly into the fabric (sublimated?), can iron the design directly. It looks great if you have a pattern to print. I've ordered three shirts from them now, and have received great print results each time.

Only thing to be aware of, is sizing can be a bit strange. I ordered men's size L and they were very large, and a women's size 3XL that was smaller than the men's size L.

      • +1

Do the Artscow shirts handle repeated washing? Ie are they a novelty for awhile, or like a normal shirt that lasts a normal time?

        • +1

I honestly had designs printed that I would only wear a couple of times, as such I haven't washed them more than probably three times. They're holding up well so far.

      • What Aus sizes do you consider the men's L and women's 3XL to be equivalent to bern1992?

        • I would say the men's L was closer to a men's XL heading towards an XXL - it's quite long.

The women's 3XL was probably about three sizes too small - I'd call it an L. 3XL is the largest size they do in that particular style.

        • @bern1992: thanks

        • +1

@Hen: sorry, Just to clarify - Aus L = Artscow XL

      • +1

        ZAPALS stands for….

  • Can you order more than one shirt at this price or just the one?

Edit - sorry i see now first two are at that price, nice!

    • +2

You can of course get multiple shirts printed by using multiple accounts if you have other delivery addresses you can use.

I have ordered a few 'Fallout vault-suit' style shirts in the past for my son and they turned out quite well.

  • How much are these normally?

    • +1

double the price. check the linky and they show normal price.

  • What's the quality like? Can't be that good…?

    • +2

very reasonable. I've paid triple for worse.

quality is like "wow, this is pretty good. and for only AU$10 delivered!, nice"

      • Thanks mate!

      • I am wary of the fabric, as it isn't just cotton.
I fear it will be like a sports jersey.

      • altomic, what's your view on their sizing?

        • +1

i thought it as a smaller sizing compared to aus. aus L is larger than artscow L

  • This is awesome. Now I just have to think what to get? Trump? CCCP?

  • All I want is a white T-shirt with a Machoke on the front.

    Cheaper/better options available?

  • +1

All I want is a white T-shirt with a GOATSE on the front

I'm gonna get one done with a big red cock.

  • RICK AND MORTY

  • Can you print singlets too in this deal?

  • Shipping is for 4 to 6 weeks? Does anyone know where they are getting printed and shipped? China? Would like to get the deal but needed to know this before getting. Thank you. Sounds like a good deal.

Your Order # 6914832 has been shipped.
      I'm getting excited :)

  • This is a great deal. Any ideas on when it expires (I'm a slow creator of T-shirt designs).

    • dude, in the post- 6 May

  • I thought I'd checked so carefully to not ask for the bleeding obvious. And it ain't obvious in the initial post as I see it here

    So no hurry it seems.

    EDIT:

I see now that it's not in the OP, but in the artscow link ….

    Expiry Date : 05/06/2016
"ArtsCow has the right to terminate this promotion at any given time without prior notice."

Perhaps the OP could include the probable expiry date in the post title?

    • dude, it's there. between the facebook, twitter, etc iconss and the Report, Bookmark, Reminder, Hide buttons

      screen dump

      • +2

Umm, er, yes ….. well, can I say, "long time lurker, first time poster" and get away with it?

        Thanks! Eyes open.

    Great deal thanks!

Finding it difficult to get the large images required though (pixel density)

Think it was at least 2400 X 3000

Or am I doing it wrong?!!

    • Your numbers (2400 X 3000) may be wrong but your point is valid. It is hard to find suitably spec'd pictures unless you simply want to plaster a photo on the shirt, or you're a Photoshop kind of person.

When googling, be sure to specify file size larger than … 2MP …. or whatever be your standard.

I under spec'd when I created my designs and cross my fingers on the result when the two shirts are delivered.

    • You can search & sort by size here… https://www.yandex.com/images/
Also, you could join images together - it's pretty easy to do in irfanview.

  • great!

so, I made a wu-tang parody tshirt link

  • Hypothetically, has anyone succeeded in placing a second order via some other means?

    • i think you have to do the second tshirt at the same time as the first. one order - 2 tshirts.

hypothetically, you could create a new account and place another order with a VPN. - plenty of free ones available.

      • Hmm yes. I've already ordered two shirts in one order but of course I would like some more…

        • +1

hypothetically, I might have already done that myself…..

        • Hypothetically, thanks very much for that!

  • 2 Shirts cost me 28.51 AUD including delivery, i chose a fancy schmancy one i guess.

  • t cotton t-shirt AUS$10.99 including shipping. Thanks OP!

  • +2

Just in case anyone was still considering using these guys, as there is still 2 days left before the deal expires.

I'd recommend them. I placed my order on the 23/04 and received my 2 shirts today. The quality of the t-shirts themselves are great, cotton, comfortable.
The quality of the printing was also very good. Time will tell if they hold up in the wash or not. But for what I paid I'm 100% happy/satisfied.

    • Did you get black or white shirts? I think they use different printing methods for each.

    • thanks for posting that.

how did you find sizing? all good?

    • thx for reminder - bought another with a different account. Perfect for gig shirts and kids!
