    This short course will run over 5 weeks and will help you prepare for the CTT+

    I'm not sure whether this is for the actual CTT+ certification. From the quoted section, it seems as though it might only be a preparation course.

      Noted this line as well, curious as to whether or not you actually get the certification at the end, if not, its not really a deal.

      Question 3: Will this course prepare me for all facets of the CTT+ certification?

      No. In order to achieve CompTIA CTT+ certification, candidate must pass both a computer-based test (CTT+ Essentials TK0-201) that assesses knowledge and a performance-based exam (TK0-202 or TK0-203) in which the candidate demonstrates prescribed skills during a recorded training session. Due to time & logistics constraints, this short course only prepares you for the CTT+ Essentials TK0-201 certification exam.

      Question 5: Is there a final exam?

      Yes – week 5 is exam week. The exam will be a timed, open book exam that you will sit at your computer. It can be sat at any time during the week, but only one attempt is allowed. Those who pass our exam will receive a certificate of achievement for the short course, from IT Masters and Charles Sturt University.

        That's the key. The certifcate of achievement mentioned is only to indicate completion of the short course offered by IT Masters/CSU.

        The actual CTT+ certification is awarded by CompTIA

      Interestingly though, if you complete three of these free short courses you can get credited a postgrad IT elective subject with Charles Sturt University:

      A single postgrad subject usually runs about $2500.
