$1000 for a phone? It's expensive…
Too bad im poor! Looks hot
In 3 months or so time when they are down to ~$600 I'll bite. ;)
No you wont lolll in 3 months when someone posts it for $600 you'll say if it was $500 id bite hahahaha
1k for a grey import…ok then
As a long time HTC lover and an owner of the HTC M9, I have to say this is just a subpar version of the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Well I just have to say that you just made a very silly statement given the reviews I have read.
The reviews I read agree with him? Even the speakers are sub par.
Sub par compared to front facing.. Most definitely… Sub par compared to other phones with same speaker config? Not from what I've read.
Still this is brand new so this price will fall and it'll definitely be a good option for users. Specially with sense UI … I'll stick with htc while they make phones with sense UI :)
S7 has faster storage speed. This still uses emmc 5.1
S7 has better screen.
S7 has wireless charge.
S7 has water resistance.
This has usb type c and quick charge 3.0
This should have hardware hdmi output (display port due to usb 3.1 prototype)
This has better xda development
Both lack IR blaster
HTC's sense is more close to stock and more fluid than Samsung touchwiz
Both have microsd, but HTC support Anodriod N microsd management
Both look good
To me it is really a tight fight. They both represent the best offer from Android world so far, but choose either is still a compromise. No IR blaster make both no go for me.
Well clearly (even by your own points) the S7 is far superior, you didn't even mention the thickness of the HTC 10 or the screen
That is very interesting that you read S7 to be a clearly better, because there are people care a lot on how fast and fluid their system UI is or the ability to go AOSP. Not to mention faster charge speed, the Android microsd management (allow install app) and physical HDMI out feature can be critical too.
I still have an issue with AMOLED short changing me on sub pixels, I want all my sub pixels Samsung!
Is anywhere selling the white one with the black front?
One m8 or no Htc
wow it's both ugly and expensive
I was interested in this phone but the s7 edge beats it pretty much hands down and has waterproof and an arguably better camera plus it's roughly the same price. I hate being a fan boy so I don't see why you'd want this. If it was cheaper then I'd consider it.
the s7 edge beats it pretty much hands down
In what respect?
The Exynos processor beats SD820 in most benchmarks that I've seen but the most important aspect to me is the 20% larger battery size (3600mah vs 3000mah).
I'm in a similar predicament. What's keeping me away from the s7 edge is;
Widely reported accidentally touches
Touchwiz
Feels more like plastic than glass
Fingerprint magnet
Prefer IPS displays than amoled. I don't like warm/beige whites.
Don't need to care too much screen tech now in 2016. But I honestly think the S7 has the best screen than all competitiors.
S7 edge is significantly more expensive though RRP for the 32GB version is $1250 in Australia
You have to compare this deal with a grey import deal.
Way too damn expensive
How in the hell could this be a bargain?
Its not just a new release price lol
If it was $599 maybe, otherwise subpar phone for premium price. Typical new age HTC, could have been a great phone.
I would never buy from these guys again. I've had to return my Lg G4 twice. Once with a bad screen & second totally died. The second time they took 1 month to reply back to me and another 5 weeks to get my phone swapped out. The savings were not worth it. I'd go look somewhere else.
Fastest phone on earth now…….. an tu tu score = 156000
Both are good phones. I do like one thing and that is the audio through headphones on the HTC. The other thing though on the S7 is VR and the Samsung Milk VR store which is very good.
It's all personal choice. Regarding water proofing, I have never dropped a phone in water, have dropped my Nokia 1520 into the snow many times but it doesn't mind. I think the drop test would be more interesting as more people would drop their phones on a hard floor rather than a bucket of water.
I love it love it love it love it love it!!!! Go Go HTC!!!!
