I didn't know they used them. How do they get them up the tree?

I bought a Koala double mattress last month for $750 - its a comfortable mattress. Certainly if you are a side-sleeper there is enough foam in the mattress to support your shoulder and your body.

How can I post a "refer a friend link"? - using my link the discount is $75 and I receive $50. I'm not sure what the Ozbargain policy is on posting these - thanks.

    Mod: Referral links not permitted

Keep in mind the biased reviews when selecting.

    • People are coerced to leave good reviews.

Thanks for the info but people are not being coerced, they are being incentivised.

In any event I'm afraid you're rather missing the point: any website that allows anyone to leave reviews is automatically suspicious because interested parties like the retailer can leave reviews easily: why would you not abuse that if it enriches you to do so? It's good that your dismissing these reviews but the mistake your making is assuming any review on such a site is credible.

      • there are companies in India that sell reviews …… tell them how many you want they go the web site and post. the reviews are a bit generic unlike nerds who pick tech products apart.

    • I dont think this is the case anymore. I recieved a mattress last month and they sent me an email asking me to rate it, there was no offer of the giftcard

      • That's because Productreview told them to stop doing it.

"What kind of Mattress is a Koala?

The Koala Mattress is a high-quality, high-performance mattress designed specifically for Australians. It combines a lively and supportive base with a pressure-relieving hybrid layer to relieve pressure from all the right places. The secret to the Koala’s success is in our top comfort layer. The K-4 Koala comfort layer is unique to our brand and can only be found in the Koala mattress, nowhere else on Planet Earth. The K-4 Koala comfort layer combines pressure relief, support, and breathability in the one mattress. We’re certain you won't find this feeling while sleeping on any other mattress. The K-4 Koala comfort layer has zero disturbance technology helping you to enjoy an undisturbed sleep.

Designed to be a single firmness, we’ve spent many hours tweaking the Koala’s Mattress specifications to ensure it is universally comfortable for everyone. The Koala Mattress supports the natural posture of your spine, helping to relieve back, shoulder and neck problems. It has also been designed to naturally breathe, so you don’t end up sleeping hot. Beware this is not a conventional mattress, it is K-4 Koala comfort and it is the future of bedding."

I still have no idea what kind of mattress is a Koala. It seems to be an all foam mattress without springs that is not memory foam or latex.

    • Yes its a bit like mirrors and bits of string.

There was one comforting feeling that if I didnt like the mattress I could return within the 120 days for a refund. You could try all of the "mattresses in a box" with similar deals and have almost enough mattresses to cover a whole year.

Could be good if you were renting or planning on going overseas.

  • Ah, the levitating mattress.

  • How does it compare to Greywing?

  • if anyone is interested in one of these, I have a referral link that gives the buyer $75 off the price, and $50 back to me.
let me know if you want it.
