$100 off Koala Mattress Purchase with Coupon (Single - $550 Shipped with Coupon)

WSD100

I'm in the market for a new mattress and have been trying to assess the online offerings from Koala, Greywing and Ergoflex. I did register on Koala's website and tonight received an email that Koala are celebrating World Sleep Day with a coupon for $100 off the purchase price on their mattresses (expires midnight tomorrow night). Free delivery and 120 trial period too (these are normal).

I have no idea if World Sleep Day is actually a thing though. I'm not going to google it.

It appears you can normally get $50 by just registering your email with. They are also running another promotion at the moment of $50 off + a $25 Coles Myer voucher using the code SLPMYER. This may be good for those who dont want to save a further $25 (get off OZB….)

Still have not decided if I'm going to go with Koala. But $100 off does appear to be more than has been posted on OZB in the past.

  • Op why not buying a more popular brand such as Sealy or king koil?

    • Those brands have no "elite appeal".

      • Its not about the "elite appeal" but trustworthiness of brands that have been around for decades and made hundreds of thousands matresses. By the sound of koala website, their mattress was only invented last year? It is also a big claim the polyutheren is better than latex and memory form which most top range products use. I do love koala bears though

        • memory foam is polyeurothane

latex is more hypoallergenic than memory foam
tho has different properties to memoryfoam from a springyness perspective

Because ultimately they are crap. But in saying that buying a bed is a personal choice.

I had a high end king coil and it lasted about 6 years. I felt as though for the price it should have lasted a lot longer

I did a lot of research and testing when buying my new king size and went with ozmatress grand master based off reviews on several forums.

Could not be happier. Amazing matress

Oz GM here as well. Its great. firm or plush, i chose firm.

Higher price though, they sell cheaper models.

  • are these good for bad backs?

  • I have a queen sleeping duck.really good and comfy for the money.

  • Tempted to neg for misleading advertising…apparently these are not stuffed with real koalas!

Yeah, I hate that. Just like Emu Bitter.

I've also had a long standing dispute with Gorilla Glass for the same reason…grrr! :p

    • How much can a koala bear?

And those bamboo pillows, it's the same rip!

I was horrified to learn recently that they aren't stuffed with bamboo fibre! The cover fabric has a tiny percentage of bamboo as a token gesture… what a joke.

Does anyone know if these mattresses would be suitable for hot climates? I am thinking about getting latex instead for that reason and am wondering about the differences…

    • I'm told latex heats up as you sleep. Some people get used to it and won't know the difference after a while, others do not. If your body heats up when you sleep, it's probably best not to. You might want to do a bit more research…

  • Thanks, just bought a mattress. Site currently has $75 discount.
