BE WARY! I always order from AMINOZ but I'm still waiting on my protein from two weeks ago, and it's still "processing".

Same protein so don't know what their stock levels are actually like

    • -6

instead of negging the deal, why don't you call them on 1300 264 669 (24/7) or chat with them via the website to see what the issue is.

      • +1

Why would me ringing affect my decision to neg? Waiting several weeks for protein compared to every supplement websites turnaround of 1-3 days on average seems good enough grounds to neg on the basis of reliability

        • +2

it could. it may be a problem with your address, payment method or flavor you have chosen not being in stock (backorder) in which you can ask for a refund

        • @easternculture: Not sure why you're getting negged but makes perfect sense EC :)

        • @easternculture: He negged it because he still hasn't received his order from the previous identical deal from them, even though they have a 2 week wait on the backorder.

        • -2

          @Nero:

but he/she doesn't even know the reason why the order hasn't been shipped yet.

i don't see a reason to neg the deal unless Amino Z is genuinely withholding the shipment for no reason

        • @easternculture: I understand, I'm not saying he was right to neg. I'm also waiting on my order to process as well.

        • @Nero:

          What's delaying your order?

        • @easternculture: As it said on the previous deal, it was on backorder. It says processing but the shipping ETA is 14/4/16 so I'm just waiting. He probably hasn't logged in and checked what his ETA date is.

        • +2

          @Nero:

          same.
          also negged.

don't think its right to offer more discounted product if you havent fulfilled your previous deals orders for the same item.

He doesn't need to call btw, the reason is stated in your account. 'backordered'

    • +2

my order came in 2 days

    • +2

If you are negging this because your order from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/241484 has not arrived yet, it clearly says on the page that there is a 2 week wait time as it is on back order. It hasn't even been 2 full weeks yet. I don't think you have a valid neg.

      • +1

        I believe there is.

afaik The 2 weeks period was only discovered as a member called to find out wtf was going on.

The websites account page just keeps incrementing 2 days onto the eta every so often.
I only checked the ozb page over a week after it not being in stock. By then its like…is it worth the hassle of cancelling now.

Is this any good to use as a meal replacement shake for weightloss or is it only ideal for muscle gain??

    • +3

Whey protein is better than a meal replacement shake. Protein is effectively the most expensive and time consuming (normally have to cook it) macronutrient.
A meal replacement is generally whey protein and simple carbs, stuff you could get from drinking soft drink and a bunch of ingredients that generally don't do anything but make the product look fancy.

Advertising makes these products seem magical but they are basically food in condensed form. Eating a piece of chicken for dinner is not going to bulk you unless you are physically training, same with a meal replacement or whey protein. Whey protein is just better value for money.

Thanks for the explanation dmac. I just want to use something as meal replacement for breakfast and lunch as I have been busy and been just eating junk and takeaways but decided to shed few kilos even though I am not overweight. Someone suggested Herbalife or Arbonne or something like that. So, trying to weigh up options to see which one is better. I am also new to this game, so trying to find out some info and arrive at a decision.

        • +3

A scoop of protein + 3 servings of rolled oats + a banana if necessary = good meal replacement shake. Takes a minute to put together and blend. Way cheaper than any 'mass gainer' shake and a lot healthier.

        • If you look at productreview for Herbalife it will tell you what you need to know pretty quickly. Don't buy into all in one companies that benefit from a lack of knowledge from their clientèle. Check out /r/fitness as an easy to understand place to start your learning.

Wife is always at me for having a protein shake for breakfast, just have eggs she says. It's not convenient because I eat at work but I'm on a diet so a protein shake alone is just efficiency.
        Approximates:
        Shake- 24g protein /3g total carbs (1 sugar) / 120 calories

        4 eggs- 24g protein/4g total carbs (3 sugar) / 360 calories

That said I'll come home and make an omelette with spinach, cheese and ham for lunch to get some more fat and protein into the day. :)

Lol definitely don't use this as any sort of meal replacement or weightless product my friend. Best time to take this bad boy is right after using some heavy weights in the gym to assist with muscle gain.

How is this better than cheap BulkNutrients ones?

    • +1

Honestly, I think it's mainly the brand. Optimum is one of the most popular brands for supplements and people (myself included) stick to what they are familiar with. Also, the flavours are pretty good.

    • +1

In terms of a blind test, ON flavour is better and I could pick the chocolate out every time. Physical results have been the same for every protein I've had regardless of what their labels say. Try getting samples if you can and weigh up what's most important out of taste, mixability and cost. I would pay more for a better flavour because I don't consume it often.

If every company provided samples of their proteins and they were readily available I would go from brand to brand as better and newer favors are released.

      • +1

        agreed.

so far i like ON and myofusion best.
Theres probably more which taste nice…but I havent been able to sample

        • Thank you thank you for replies! I will give ON a try.

  • +1

Not a fan of the new zip on the bags. I opened a bag a few days ago and its already starting to clump. The older style was much better at keep air/moisture out.

  • +2

After reading about how you could send a sample of your protein to a lab to be tested you will think twice about wasting your money on big brands

I moved away from ON and other brands due to their lab results not getting to what they suggested.
Now i use - http://venomprotein.com.au/catalog/pure-whey-c-5.html?osCsid… in vanilla for my protain balls, yogurts ect

Use this for my smoothies - http://www.proteinsuppliesaustralia.com.au/shop/whey/wpi-pur… - sample was sent to a lab awaiting response.

I would also suggest others send samples of their proteins to see what it really contains :)

go google to find the rest

    • Nice! Thank you

It comes up as 156.90 for me and is out of stock. Dollar deal has changed as well.

    • is out of stock.

      It on backorder

It comes up as 156.90 for me

Apply code SN-120416-FCF-39 for 20% off discount

Dollar deal has changed as well.

      Just tested and still works

I normally get Max's bioengineered WIP which I don't think they even sell anymore.

I like the chocolate flavour, it's 90% protein and has less than 1g of carbs per 100g.

Do people still rate this Max's products? This Optimum nutrition sounds good too.

But has more carbs and I'm on a low carb diet so I prefer one low in carbs…

  • Welcome to GAINZZVille

Funny I got different Code in email but still worked

Don't buy from these guys -_- sent short dated stuff to me (2 weeks to use it for a months supply), returned it to them and still waiting for replacements months later…

If all goes well it's great, if something happens, you're on your own

    • what product was short dated.

If this does not relate to the ON Gold whey, there is no reason to neg.

      • Neg the deal because offered by seller with bad service hence I don't think it's a deal if something goes wrong and you're on your own. Good enough?

        • never had an issue with Amino Z

        • @easternculture: So I understand why you don't neg. please respect my neg, I assure you I have a good reason.
