Aer Lingus’ loyalty program ‘Gold Circle’ is being restructured and renamed. From July 1, AerClub will be the Irish carrier’s loyalty program, and will use Avios as it’s currency as a result of it’s acquisition by IAG, the parent company of British Airways and Iberia (who also use Avios).
As noted on the Avios website, you can pocket 250 Avios simply by registering your interest at the AerClub site.

Cheapest redemption is 4500 points economy (or 9000 business) one way from Sydney to Brisbane via Qantas. Brisbane - Melbourne is 7,500 in economy or 15,000 in business. Melbourne - Perth is 12,500 in economy and 37,500 in business.
Unlike most other purchased miles, Avios can provide good value for economy flights, especially when redeeming last minute. And unlike on their international routes, last minute Qantas domestic awards are easy to come by.
All you need to do is put in your first name and email for signup. You should receive more information around May 30.
