        Around Novmember last year, had a sign up saying all gift cards (from memory) get $10 woolworths points which included their own.

    Woolworths Dollars is a pain. It's not spend $50 on gift card and get $10 back. It's spend $50 on gift card now and $10 or above next time on groceries you get $10 back.

      Not sure if it means this offer available up to 27 April, or that the $10 Woolworth Dollars earned from this offer must be used up by 27th April? (Most likely former, but there's room for doubt).

      I can't imagine Amex or any other credit card provider accepting bill payments in gift cards instead of money.

        Sorry Mate. You can't use the Gift card to pay CC bill. It has to be a cash money. Alternatively you can accumulate points in order to get a Cash back on your outstanding bill.

      I would think no.. I tried repaying my Woolworths credit card with a gift card before and the assistant was very helpful, but the system won't allow it because it involves 'cash out', and that straight away rules out gift card. I have also asked Masters whether it is possible to pay Masters trade AMEX card over the counter and unfortunately it isn't, let alone using a gift card to pay.

      Woolies reward card is the loyalty card. When you buy certain things, it gets loaded with promo credit that you can use towards a future shop (subject to the various Ts&Cs. The gift cards/egift cards are completely separate.

    Will a temporary card snatched from the counter work with this? Or does the reward card needs to be registered to have the $10 loaded into it?

      Last time I tried this on a similar deal and it didn't work, even though I registered the card online on the spot. So maybe you need the physical card, or it was that the $10 did get loaded on my phsical card but it didn't (purposely?) arrive in time for me to use the $10 rewards.
