Serious question, unless you're buying used, is Pascal gonna really affect a buyer of a 970 anytime soon? Doesn't Nvidia typically ,release highend/flagship before the xx7x class?
Yes when people are saying wait for pascal I hope that means wait and then pick up a seriously good bargain on a second hand gpu because their now former owner jumped ship and paid high prices for the new release cards. Seriously the second hand GPU market will be very very tasty shortly.

Yeah, once Pascal arrives there's going to be a flood of current gen 970's flooding the used market as well as impacting brand new gtx 970 prices as well. It's the same logic as how older iphone models depreciate sharply when the new one is released.

The 970 card for this price is very good; you don't have to wait for any new card,like the Pascal, as they will be much more expensive and the price drop for a GTX 970 that day won't be much lower than the $399 you get at the moment….
