  • You might want to add the price of the hosereel itself!

    From $159.

  • Thanks OP,

Is $219 a good price for the 30m reel, factoring in the bonus accessories?

  • FWIW, I've got the 30m retractable hose with a cover and it's bloody brilliant. Whether it is several times better than a $70 jobby from Bunnings I can't say for certain, but I don't care. At no time have I regretted the purchase.

I had one or two minor problems with Hoselink fittings in the past (like, when they first launched), but their post-sale service was terrific. This was some years ago, now.

  • I have 2 hose reels from Hoselink and like the others, they are far better than any of the Bunnings bought ones.
One of my reels is 3 years old and still looks new, even though it is exposed to the weather. I had a Bunnings special reel that fell apart after 12 months, so I replaced it with a Hoselink.

  • I've had my hoselink retractable hose for 7-8 years and it hasn't missed a beat. I've had the pope brand one for half that and it doesn't retract properly, it doesn't lock in place when extended and the hose itself has gone rock hard. Definitely worthwhile paying the little bit extra and getting hoselink hose. It'll save you in the long run.

  • Good products.

    • +1

      Hozbargain!

  • Not a fan of Hoselink's stuff. I bought their reel, it broke off the wall (the plastic did through the heat from the sun - so much for being built for Australian conditions). The gun spray also broke. I replaced the gun and the second one broke within about 2 months.

May as well just buy the cheap stuff.

    • Pretty sure their customer service is good in these cases. Did you try them?

      • Yeah but at a certain point, like in the gun cases, you need to admit a product is a dead horse and move on. What's the chances I got 2 faulty products in a row?

        • I'm fairly uncaring with my stuff and my gun spray is kicking along fine … so maybe … you did get 2 faulty products in a row?

  • Is this still a bargain if I don't need the jet washer and the sprinkler?

    • nah, get a cheapie.. mine lasted 5 years and a qtr of the price.

  • I've had one for a couple of years. Keep a bbq cover on it cos it's fully out in the sun. Still works exactly the same.

  • Lol, I'm like … i really wanted another one of these but I don't need a sprinkler or a jet washer. Who even uses a sprinkler today? I let my grass die in summer. Waste of good water keeping it alive. Always comes back fine when the rain comes.

  • Been waiting for this. Thanks for posting.

  • For Costco members- Costco sells 30m hoselink for $99, its not retractable but is it worth to pay double for retractable compared to manual rewinding ones.
