        For some people yes. There are a large number of people who consider WD drives to be more reliable than Seagate drives although I suspect it is more to do with certain models than an overall failure in the brand. I will admit I have had more failures in Seagate drives than WD for 3.5 drives but 2.5 drives are about the same for me (too many).

        If you compare this WD model with the Seagate equivalent, you can tell that WD has better ventilation. Better air flow equals lower temperatures which means less failures.

        FYI Green is now Blue.

        WD reclassified the old warhorse of the WD30EZRX as a blue drive, WD30EZRZ now. Same old hardware as before, just I guess they thought they could sting more money that way.
