Agree, the title is misleading I guess.
Ibuprofen = Ibuprofen = ~$1.50/24 homebrand FTW
Not really. These are the sodium salt which dissolve faster and are therefore bioavailable faster than these.
I don't disagree that buying homebrand is a better idea, but if you're going to compare prices, at least compare apples with apples.
Didn't say they were better on every metric, I just nominated them for the win :)
$8.45 is a decent premium for a 13 minute quicker first dose Cmax + placebo bonus.
That said, if there's demand, someone will supply.Didn't say they were better on every metric
No you said:Ibuprofen = Ibuprofen which is not what this is.
@Brouw3r: His name is "Tafe" not "Uni"
100 Ibuprofen tablets for $4.78 at Chemist Warehouse.
your link states that "IMPORTANT NOTE – A VALID AUSTRALIAN PRESCRIPTION IS REQUIRED BEFORE THIS ITEM CAN BE SHIPPED"
Should be this one - https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/44864/Rafen-200mg-50…
200mg 50 Tablets - $2.39
For when you have pain in your Zavance.
Yeah I agree with others, generics are the same and much cheaper.
The maker was pinged recently for its practice of selling multiple versions of the same product Nurofen at differnt price points and treating different ailments.
For those interested: https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/court-finds-nurofen-ma…
It should be noted that Nurofen Zavance is not a "Specifc Pain" product (and I didn't take SamR to be suggesting otherwise).
They had Nurofen for back pain, Nurofen for migraines, Nurofen for period pain etc. All had the same ingredient which lead to kidney problems in patients having both migraines and period pain (who didn't realise it had the same ingredient in it).
If you are silly enough to pay that much for ibuprofen go for it….interesting segment on 'The checkout' about how Panadol and Nurofen marketting the same product in different ways and different prices….just use homebrand….WAY cheaper.
It shouldn't be possible to sell this volume legally. It says Pharmacy only medicine. Smaller quantities would be legal.
