Most prefer duration over length.
Is the 850 Pro the best consumer SSD on the market? Is it worth paying the extra ~$80 over an 850 EVO or an Intel or Crucial drive?
If you are a normal user you won't notice much difference at all
Thanks. I've seen some comments that for the OS drive the Samsungs are better even though the 'maximum' speeds are not much different. Apparently it will at least boot up a few seconds quicker? I'm willing to pay more for a noticeable difference even if its small. But how do these drives compare to the Intel 535 series in terms of reliability/durability?
I don't know much about SSD's myself, but I think you're looking more at around 0.5 to 2 second quicker boot times. 850 pro and intel SSD's are all rated highly for their reliability, the 850 pro has a 10-year warranty and the intel 535 has 5 years.
The 850 Pro is the best SSD I've owned, plus that warranty is an excellent length.
