Be warned these are prone to getting extremely hot and stopping to work altogether due to this. Probably alright if data access isn't much but not if you want to use it with your xbox (e.g.) to extend storage.

Source I own two of the 32GB versions.

i can confirm the extreme overheating issue. own the 32gb version as well.

Also confirm. I have a 128gb and it's a pain in the arse if you want to transfer big files. They are pretty fast for small files but are pretty slow for larger files (they slow down as they heat up), then they just stop and disconnect.

Has been $24.99USD according to the Camels

  • I have one ordered Nov 15 gets hot but in my unibody macbook pro not so much (Acts like a heatsync)
New Model ordered 2 weeks ago, much better - tested on my pc laptop to play some 4K mkv's, still warm but no where as bad as the old model.

  • Returned all my old Sandisk ones. I'm using the USB 3.0 Samsung version of this. Basically same size. Much better on heat. Got a 64GB version from the last ebay 20% off from FUTU online. It was about $22 bucks delivered. I recommend Samsung if heat is an issue.

  • nearly half price compared to most Australian stock, geez

  • I had a 128G USB 3 from Kogan for about $60 sometime back and the average write speed was 75MB and read speed was 120MB. This was the fastest USB flash drive (write) so far and Sandisk I had was only about 20MB write and 80MB read. I use the H2testw apps for this test.
